Works well, saved money
My Civic was cranking but not starting. So I used a spark tester and found out there was no spark. I had already replaced the spark plugs and spark plug wires recently, so I knew the problem was the distributor. I used this part, which was delivered in 2 days, and my engine started without any problems. The cheapest distributor at Autozone was over $200, so this distributor saved me a lot of money. Also, I appreciate the fast delivery because I absolutely need my car to drive to work. After replacing the distributor, I would strongly recommend using a timing light to make sure the ignition timing is set properly. If the ignition timing is slightly off, the engine will still run, but you might have reduced performance such as sluggish acceleration and bad fuel economy.EDIT: I had to return the distributor because it was defective, even though the car was running: the timing was way too retarded. The timing was so bad that I couldn’t adjust it sufficiently with a timing light. However, when I received the replacement distributor, everything was perfect. The timing was slightly off compared to the OEM, but no big deal because I could fix the issue with the help of a timing light. Once again, I strongly recommend you purchase a timing light (approx $20) to adjust the distributor timing, otherwise you will have degraded engine performance (power and fuel efficiency). It’s a great distributor but keep in mind that some of them have might be defective, so you might need to return it and request a replacement (which is easy and free with Amazon).

Fixed Miss fire issue
This replacement works perfectly. Was a direct fit for my application, and was less expensive than replacing parts separately. Ie; coil, igniter, cap& rotor. Bear in mind timing will need to be checked as per your manual.

Questionable part
It’s been about a month or so since my original distributor went out on me. But it seems like from time to time this part starts to act up. I try starting my car and instead of starting up right away it starts to hesitate just like when my original distributor first gave out. Can’t be the battery since that’s just been recently replaced and I very much doubt that it could be my starter as well. So I’m wondering if this part is defective or what? But so far it’s doing the job of starting the car and drivable as well. But I do get hesitation from time to time just like I did when my original part gave out. So hopefully this part continues to work well as it is a pain not having a car to move around in as well as scary if it gives out on you while driving on the road.

A Big Mistake
My 23-year-old Civic has treated me so well that I thought I'd treat it well by buying it this replacement for the original OEM distributor. What a mistake. Just over a year later, I started getting intermittent engine issues accompanied by illumination of the check-engine light and a P0335 OBDII code. A web search readily and repeatedly suggested that a P0335 code for a 2000 Honda Civic LX is due to a bad CKF crankshaft position sensor behind the timing belt cover. (Ugh! That's not a fun job!) This resulted in many hours of unnecessary labor to replace a sensor that wasn't even the problem. That resulted in even more hours of unnecessary labor to troubleshoot and diagnose related relays, the ECM and the electrical system in general before discovering that the problem was actually the CKP crankshaft position sensor in this replacement distributor had gone bad! I re-installed my old distributor and my Honda came back to life and the intermittent problem has gone away. This cheap replacement distributor lated less than 14 months and resulted in so much lost time and money that I could (and should) have bought an OEM distributor in the first place. I've now seen once again that buying aftermarket electronic parts for my Honda is a waste of time and money, and that buying OEM is a much better option overall.

Great Value , Great Product , COMPLETE !
Great value for the price compared to Pull-A-Part Style Junkyards and This part was 100% Complete and Easy to Install on a 1999 Honda Civic 1.6 L. Why chance buying used garbage when Amazon brings a NEW one to your front door for a great price ? Great Job Amazon getting it delivered so quickly and Great Product that not only got my car running again but STRONGER than ever.

Price is fair
Burned out after 4 months, make sure you purchase the protection plan, unlike me, now I have to buy another one. Good things are not cheap, and cheap things are not good.
