Great headphones but not at full price
Having had multiple pairs and given these a fair chance before I posted the review - I can highlight a number of very solid pros:1) Build Quality - fantastic2) Comfortable - adjustable headband, comfy ear cups3) Swappable ear cups - easily done - no fiddly bits4) Decent audio - not as high fidelity as you would expect, but very good5) Great mic - probably one of the best mics on a wireless gaming headset6) Long battery life - although you might think 65h (with LEDs turned off) might be little - it has a very smart sleep mode that keeps true to that amount. I typically charge these once every 2/3 weeks on my use (a few hrs daily, with more on weekend). If you plug them in while you make lunch, that'll charge them more than enough that you forget to do so consciously. On the other hand - do I think they're worth €200? No chance. I've had other headsets at €200-€250 price point and while the build quality was a little bit poorer - the audio quality I found was a lot better. If these were marketed at a €150 RRP price point, these would be a fantastic buy.I grabbed mine from Amazon WH for a significant discount and hence the 5* review. If I had purchased these at full price, I would probably drop this to a 4* (maybe even a 3*).

A comprehensive gaming headset upgrade
Pros: The CORSAIR HS80 MAX WIRELESS Multiplatform Gaming Headset offers a significant upgrade in sound quality compared to the Arctic 7 I had previously, with immersive Dolby Atmos providing a rich audio experience. The headset's battery life is exceptional, lasting for weeks with daily use of at least 3 hours before needing a recharge via USB-C. The omnidirectional microphone is clear and stays out of the way, with a convenient spoken message indicating when it's on or off. The headset's compatibility with iCUE software allows for seamless integration with other CORSAIR products, enhancing the overall user experience. The Slipstream USB dongle provides a reliable wireless connection with a decent range before signal disruption.Cons: While the memory foam earcups are comfortable for short periods, they can cause discomfort during extended gaming sessions, requiring occasional adjustments to relieve pressure.Sound Quality: The CORSAIR HS80 MAX WIRELESS delivers true audio via high-fidelity 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth, with immersive Dolby Atmos providing a rich and engaging sound experience. The sound quality is a significant upgrade from my Arctic 7, with users rarely needing to adjust the volume past 50%. The volume toggle not only adjusts the sound but also affects the Windows volume natively, which is a positive feature as it allows for seamless volume control across the system.Comfort: The headband fits perfectly, and the memory foam earcups provide comfort for short periods. However, during long gaming sessions, the earcups may cause discomfort, requiring occasional adjustments to relieve pressure.Battery Life: The battery life of the CORSAIR HS80 MAX WIRELESS is exceptional, lasting for weeks with daily use of at least 3 hours before needing a recharge via USB-C.Microphone: The omni-directional microphone is clear and stays out of the way, with a convenient spoken message indicating when it's on or off.Connectivity: The CORSAIR HS80 MAX WIRELESS offers low-latency 2.4GHz wireless audio with a range of up to 50ft and high-fidelity 24bit/96kHz sound, as well as Bluetooth connectivity. The Slipstream USB dongle provides a reliable wireless connection with a decent range before signal disruption.iCUE Compatibility: The headset's compatibility with iCUE software allows for seamless integration with other CORSAIR products, enhancing the overall user experience.Value for Money: Purchased from Amazon Warehouse in like-new condition, the CORSAIR HS80 MAX WIRELESS offers excellent value for money, saving around £30 and coming in at £99.In conclusion, the CORSAIR HS80 MAX WIRELESS Multiplatform Gaming Headset is a comprehensive upgrade from the Arctic 7, offering exceptional sound quality, long battery life, and seamless integration with other CORSAIR products. While the earcups may cause discomfort during extended gaming sessions, the overall performance and value for money make this headset a worthwhile investment for gamers seeking an immersive audio experience.

Comfortable
The headset is very comfortable and the sound quality is good. None of my friends have complained about mic quality so I assume it is pretty good quality.Only complaints are that after only a few months the charging port in the headset is feeling a bit loose, and with these kind of issues it will likely get worse over time. However with headsets like this, you can't really expect everything to be perfect. Charge seems to last a few days (plugged in for 12+ hours per day, so I think maybe around 30 hours). Charging cable is braided style and has bad microphonics. This means whenever the charging cable touches anything, you can hear an annoying rubbing noise. Not a major issue since it charges quite fast.Overall, I bought this headset because I needed a headset with good audio which I can wear for long hours without any discomfort and it does the job.

good, could be better.
CORSAIR HS80 MAX WIRELESSThis plastic bit has came off already and I haven't had it more than a week. How cheap do you (corsair) have to be to make a product that doesnt last a week and costs this much? Anymore problems I will update this and demand a refund.Mic good, audio good, surround sound good. I aint a pro, its just much better than my last wireless headset on these points. However my last headset never had random plastic bits breaking off over the 2 years i used it.Had to update it to stop the usb thingy randomly disconnecting. How hard is it to ship a finish product that works? seriously disappointed with how lazy that is that you must fix the most basic of problems with updates later. And it aint like im buying this soon after release. There has been over a year to fix these basic problems.Mainly got it for the long battery life, it hasnt died yet so thats good i guess. had to use iCUE to turn off the RGB as well.Feels a tad on the small side and I havent the biggest of heads. Secures well to your ears and helps block out external noises.2.5 stars.Rant over. for now..edit. the plastic bit has broken further to the point its in small sharp bits. regretting buying something of such poor build quality. 1 star.
