I went through quite a few amps to find this one. Small, powerful, and beautiful sound quality.
I tried several variations of this product and finally landed on this model. It is an absolutely amazing amplifier, and paired with a nice balanced DAC (SMSL M300 Enhanced is cheap and great with the less used Cirrus chipset) or tube-based pre-amp (using a Fosi Audio Box X4) it's even better. Typical SMSL quirky controls, but the remote works great. Take the time to do a little digging in the settings for optimal performance. I paired it with some inexpensive Klipsch monitors I have and an inexpensive Rockville sub and it sounds like a million bucks in my office. I have no doubt this thing could power my Klipsch Heresy IIs, but that will be a test for another day.P.S. plugged my Hidizs ap80 pro-x into the USB port and it worked perfectly as a connected DAP. This is a real bonus!

Powerful and full sound but not perfect.
I owned the previous version of this amplifier and this is a definite improvement. It is a lot more powerful than before. It can drive pretty much any speaker I can think of with authority. However, the sound quality is hugely dependent on your source and how you connect it. If you are using the RCA inputs the quality of the sound is slightly degraded. It is still decent but not as lively or dynamic. Do not, and I repeat, do not use the USB to connect it to your PC. The sound quality would be horrible unfortunately. They should have removed this option altogether. The Bluetooth is just OK. The only way for this amplifier to really shine and flex it's muscles is to use the balanced XLR inputs. Also, it is very important to use a high quality balanced DAC capable of sending a full 4 volt signal to the amplifier. It really scales up big time with a better source DAC. If those conditions are met the sound would be phenomenal. In direct mode without EQ the bass is much better than the previous one and it is punchy but in control. The mids are fuller and slightly more forward and the highs are about the same as before. In direct mode I added + 2db treble in the EQ section because I enjoy this extra byte. Some of the presets are actually pretty good and useful but there is a very good synergy between my DAC and AO200 MKII so I personally don't need them. It sounds better to my ears compared to Topping PA5, Marantz PM8006 and Emotiva BasX A300. I am not saying it's better than all those amplifiers, I am just pointing I prefer the more lively presentation and strong dynamic in your face sound of AO200 MKII. The form factor is also great if you want to use it on a desk.I guess that's all. I hope I was helpful.

A small jewel
The new Class D technology delivers in a small package excellent results. The integrated has an excellent sound and power to drive my ProAc Tablette 25th Anniversary to excellent listening levels. It compares favorably and sounds better than my Krell KAV-300i using a fraction of the electricity (and a much smaller space). Highly recommended!

Sounds aweeome!
I got this based on positive reviews on YouTube, especially iiwi (is it worth it reviews). He was not wrong about the sound of this Amp. It sounds so good. It's hard to believe how SMSL can pack so much into this little Amp. It's small but it sounds big. I replaced my old Niles amp with this one after 1 listening session. It's worth every dollar.

Unacceptable.
There's a high pitch noise that is apparent throughout playback. Real bummer because the I/o on this thing was exactly what I needed. Must be a Q.C. issue? I'll be returning for a refund.

Amazing what you can get for not much money
The AO200 MKII has been in my system for a little over a week now. It replaced a Rotel RC-1570 preamp and Crown XLS2502 amp that were used to drive a pair of Kef R7s.I am shaking my head right now. All the money I've spent on 'quality' electronics (almost $1800 between the Rotel and Crown) and SMSL kicks out this little gem that easily tops them in sound quality. Yeah, there aren't as many inputs (just the one set of balanced and unbalanced connections, an odd USB connector for PC and Bluetooth), but sound-wise, the AO200 MKII sounds better to me. Sound is fuller, bass has great thump without being boomy, and the little AO200 MKII drives my Kefs to ear-splitting volumes in my 15' x 20' room without an issue.I have the original AO200 also, and I really liked that amp. But sound through the RCA inputs was just okay, and it required careful system matching due to the lower power spec. But the MKII, with it's added power, does sound cleaner and more authoritative. It is important to note the the AO200 MKII does convert all incoming analog signals to digital before sending it to the amps, so be aware of that. But I don't note any sound degradation with this method. The balanced input does sound better than the unbalanced input, so I recommend using it if you can. I don't use the PC-USB input, nor the Bluetooth, I have a separate DAC for that, so I can't speak to their ability.SDB is one of the EQ options for the AO 200MKII and I highly recommend it. There are a handful of EQ presets, but SDB does a great job of amplifying the lower bass and adding a little bit of top end to the sound. It is kind of like the loudness function on an old receiver. All in all, for around $200 you are getting an integrated amplifier that bests many others in this price range and above. I highly recommend it.
