Oranges were small some verry yellow expensive at £5.00 a kilo but did make marmalade!!!?

I weight the oranges and pleased to see you got your money's worth 4185g. The quality was very good on the whole but only 4 ones with green on so will use those with lemons to make orange and lemon marmalade.Got my first lot simmering at the moment because of disability and time takes to make marmalade the usual way. What I do is cook the fruit the day before . Once cool top and tail them . Discard any pips and put the whole fruit into my preserving pan with cooking liquid and blitz with my hand blender. Then the next day make the marmalade using granulated sugar.By using the whole fruit you get a stronger orange flavour and no annoying peel to chew. Been using this method for nearly 10 years and not had any complaints. Makes a great marmalade cake. I do the same for lemon and limes .Rest of the oranges I weight mark on the bag and freeze Seville orange marmalade all year round.

One orange was mouldy but the rest made good marmalade. Very overpriced despite carriage.
