I wish I had this in 2019
For my trips to Japan I usually made a Google map with all of the restaurants I could eat at (including pins for places I wanted to visit like tourist spots) and had a detailed Excel spreadsheet with the restaurant hours and the days they were closed. I had to extensively research online to find these restaurants and their menus and couldn’t always tell if the food would be safe. This book would have been SO helpful, and will be helpful the next time I can go visit! Everything is in this one book, no extensive research needed, no spreadsheets…it’s fantastic.

Helpful from personal experience
Really nice to have a compilation of exactly where to go and how to find gluten free foods at different places throughout Tokyo. Personal expertise from someone who lives there and has to find GF food. The English is a bit odd and could have used editing by a native speaker, but it’s comprehensible.

The Restaurants Guide of Gluten Free
This book is so amazing. I’m traveling to Japan with celiac disease, and this book made my pre-trip research so much easier. Very simple to read, and allergen information is clear. I highly recommend for those visit Japan with a gluten problem.

Well worth the price
Went Tokyo roughly a month ago, and this was a huge lifesaver, esp since a lot of online resources are outdated, with the pandemic hitting and no one can really travel there. If there's any suggestions I have, firstly: a glossary would have been useful, for searching places by name. Secondly, there are a lot of vegan and dessert options in the book, it would have been nice to see more meat-centric options as well (speaking as someone with sugar/carb bloating issues and just looking for meals).
