Gibsie deserves the world…
I’ve loved Gibsie since book one and it wasn’t even his book. The twist and turn at the end destroyed me to think of what Gibsie went through. How he would smile and always say he was okay while silent dying inside my poor poor Gibs. My heart hurt so bad for him. I loved this book, I feel it was rushed and kind of an after thought though. Still upset that we don’t get a second Gibs & Claire book, and instead skipping to Lizzie.. I just really hope Healing 7 happens because Gibsie deserves more and I want to read about his healing.

I mean, it’s good even if it’s not spectacular
This story is just as heart wrenching as the others, but it’s not as funny. Gibsie was the main culprit behind all the pranks and hijinks so zooming in and focusing on his trauma meant the levity was significantly cut. But the topics and issues everyone faced because of the central conflict was deeply moving and insightful. While the series will never be my favorite and I spend each book slogging through a lot of redundant inner monologues early on I still really enjoy it. I’m excited to read the next book, but I’m going to be incredibly annoyed if the author goes backwards in the time line instead of forwards like she’s been want to do.Also, side question - does anyone know if this is multiple people writing under one pen name or just one person? Because the little flip flops in details from Shannon’s hair color to major issues like tone and voice have me seriously questioning the notion of whether this is all coming from one person’s mind alone.

Speechless
I will preface this by saying I need Healing 7 STAT!!GibsGussieGibsieSunshine…. Gerard. My god Gerard. I knew this book would be triggering and painful. But Chloe really was able to paint a picture of what happened to Gibsie in very short scenes, and let me tell you I was shattered. To be seen is to be loved and Clair saw Gerard. Maybe she didn’t began to comprehend but she saw the facade. And sometimes that’s all it takes.Infinite stars just like the rest of the series.#GIBSIESAVEDGIBSIE ❤️🩹

Oh Gibsie 😭
5⭐️ 2.5🌶️This series never fails to make me fall in love and tear my heart out all at the same time. Gibsie is by far my favorite of this series. The way he is always trying to do what makes others happy even though he is in so much pain is extremely relatable to me. Coping with inappropriate humor is so something I do. My heart hurts so much for Gibsie, no one should ever have to go through what he has. The way Claire will go to battle for him no matter what really warms my heart. I know Lizzie is hurting but I also have a really hard time justifying her actions. I hope to see a book where she gets to work on her trauma.

Worth Seeing To The End.
I started this almost a year ago to date, dnf'd, then randomly decided to pick it back up. while the beginning was kinda frustrating and boring, I think it's definitely worth seeing it to the end.

Good but Not the Best
So I waited till the hype went down about the release before reading this book. I purposely put it off for many reasons, and the main one was I didn't want to ruin the characters like I had heard about.I was and was not a fan of this book. I loved seeing Shannon and the other Lynch siblings thriving. I loved seeing Johnny and Shannon from another perspective. The scenes with Joey and everyone were amazing, especially ones where he's with Aoife and AJ.What I didn't like was...almost everything else. I feel like Claire just wasn't it this book. It didn't feel like love that I was reading, it felt like obsession. There was communication between her and Gibs but she wasn't listening, like he said many times. I just didn't see the hype in the couple. I wanted to but it just didn't hit right. Now Gibsie, I loved. I knew from the start his humor was his armor. If I didn't see a spoiler about what happened, I would've never guessed that being the plot twist. It was shocking to say the least. The class clown always has a backstory. Now, onto the most spoken about thing I've seen in this book...Lizzie. she was a viper. A b to the itch with no filter and no care who she hurt this book. Her words were venom and she wanted everyone bitten. She said terrible things about situations she shouldn't have brought up and I finally saw that. However, are we not going to talk about the things Claire said to her?We know Lizzie does s3lf harm, it's spoken about. I did not expect Claire to start off her conversation about s3lf-harm with saying it looked like Lizzie had chainsaw cut on her leg. I got why it wasn't believed to be a farm cut but still. Another thing, everyone is so mad that Hughie keeps going back to Lizzie, but everyone keeps telling him to go back? "You know how to speak to her." Is basically how they treated him. And then get mad when he helps her.I dont know, maybe I'm just to used to playing the Devils advocate but I saw everyone's side in the book.
