Reduced CPU temp by 10c compared to arctic silver
7900X runs hot! When benchmarking using cinebench I'd reach temps as high as 102c. After replacing with this I'm now seeing it cap at 90.3c CPU die average as recorded in HWinfo64. 95c is max CPU rating

Used this on my msi laptop
Have to say even from the start it was 10 degrees cooler than mx-9 which was a high rated product . Found this one me to be alot better

A little over-the-top in the included kit, but it works as advertised
Bottom line: A little over-the-top in the included kit, but it works as advertised.Pros:• Works• Generous amount included• Easy to applyCons:• Assertions of “authenticity” slightly over the top• Delivered kit missing items• Not as good as liquid metalThe item comes as a kit. Ostensibly included is a plastic spreader, 2x adapter tips, 2x alcohol swabs, a tube of the paste itself, and a certificate of authenticity. However, the item reviewed was missing the plastic spreader and the alcohol swabs, which suggests a lack of good quality control.Of note, the kit came with the assertion of “authenticity,” which seems gratuitous. While it’s possible for the product to be copied or counterfeited, it’s not clear the market is awash in fake Thermal Grizzly. It seems it’s presented as psychological reassurance to a customer. The tube contains more than enough paste for one CPU. The review didn’t test beyond one CPU, so it’s unknown precisely how much was left over. The kit comes with a plastic spreader and adapter tips, but neither seem particularly needed, as long as a sufficient amount of paste is placed on the CPU. Mating the cooler to the CPU should spread the paste out sufficiently. The review didn’t conduct a 1:1 comparison between “stock” paste (like with what may come with coolers or other types of kits). Rather, the review swapped out a stock cooler (Ryzen 5500G on an Asrock B550 motherboard) with a DeepCool AK620 CPU Cooler and Thermal Grizzly. The stock cooler (with stock paste) posted temperatures about 65C under load (with temps around 55C at idle), with spikes as high as 70C. In contrast, the Thermal Grizzly, when paired with the DeepCool unit, resulted in temperatures of about 35C at idle and 45C at load and spikes around 48C.Thus, applying the paste (along with the cooler) resulted in temperature reductions of about 20C. Of course, not all the reduction is due to the paste (the stock cooler and the DeepCool unit have very different cooling profiles). Nevertheless, the paste, when paired with a capable unit, provides for substantial headroom for overclocking, and/or substantially lessens the heat stress on the CPU.At USD $23.99, the kit the kit isn’t overly expensive. However, it’s unlikely it performs substantially (50% improvement or better than stock paste) possibly making a purchase redundant. Overclockers would probably use liquid metal instead.Nevertheless, and despite the issue with missing materials in the kit, it’s recommended.

My first time repasting a laptop, went pretty well, really helped with the CPU temps
One of my kids has been wearing the heck out of the gaming laptop we have been letting him use. Its a circa late 2018 Acer Nitro 5. Getting a bit long in the tooth, but its been holding up. He has been saying it has been running a lot hotter this summer and shutting down due to thermal problems or crashing. My pasting experience was all on desktop towers way back like 17 plus years ago, when I used to build them and occasionally upgrade or replace motherboards and processors. But the principle is the same. Take apart the laptop, find and loosen the screws for the heatsink / fan combo. lift up and lay over the heatsink/fan.Wipe off the old paste from the CPU, GPU, and the spots on the heatsink where they contact with paper towels, remembering to keep grounding yourself on the metal of the chassis whenever you return to the laptop. The old paste will probably slightly crumbly and not very past like anymore if you are needing to re do the thermal transfer material. Once you get it cleared up, I like to use q-tips to get all the smaller gunk off. Then use an alcohol cleaning pad (two are included) to wipe down the tops of the cpu/gpu and the heat shrink. Then I buff the surfaces with q-tips to get them gleaming. Apply just a small pea size of thermal paste right on the center of the cpu and gpu. Then carefully align the heatsink directly overhead and carefully lower back into place and screw everything back together. This worked out very well, the CPU temps dropped down very noticeably (that was the problem, the CPU was the one spiking more than the GPU) and the GPU temps dropped down some too. Kid is so happy and back to gaming with his friends. I recommend, good thermal paste and easy to work with.
