Been using it for a year. No leaks or cracks, just happy kombutcha. I did about 8 full brews in 2024.Started from knowing 0 about what the heck i was getting into other than wanting to improve my health and not buy $$$ at the store. I let the first batch sour because I was so afraid of what I could be drinking. Did I create poison with my amazon- delivered- kombutcha?? (SILLY BRAIN!!) 😀 . It took another brew and me following the instructions on the kombutcha mother package for successful brew and trusting I did it right.I didn't disturb my kombutcha mother all year that it grew and grew. I finally cut some off and gave to a friend to start their brew. It keeps happily growing and survived 40 degree hose temperatures in winter undisturbed in the panty.My first batch tuned to vinegar - as i let it sit too long....which I bottled and used in other reciepes that called for Apple cider vinegar or vinegar.I also use a heat wrap around the glass (off, low, med high) on cooler nights to maintain proper temperature. I also bought a ph meter.Once a brew is 'done' and I portion into smaller containers for my second brew for the fizz, I start in a couple days another full brew.Would buy this again! Function is good. Ease of put together yep. Value is good. Thank youHappy brewing!!

I have two of these jars for my kombucha hobby. This is a great jar, and comes with an amazing breathable lid (I asked if they had replacement lids because that would be super handy, but they said they didn't provide those at this time - hopefully in the future).

My first order arrived damaged because the spigot had come out of its packaging and broken the glass jar. Replacement arrived in perfect condition. The only trouble I've had is that the lid went on so tightly I haven't been able to add tea to the jar. The opening is a good size for kombucha making, but too large for my hand.

Horrible product that ruined my first kombucha making experience!! I am returning it period. It doest even come with any directions on how to attach the spout to the jar, and the glass around the spout attachment has slight cracks. I tried to put it together based on how I saw it was put together in other people's reviews & the video, since the directions on the listing are super unhelpful. It holds a tiny bit of liquid back but once you put in over a cup of liquid it leaks everywhere there's a whole tea mess all over my counter now. waste of effort and money don't buy this look elsewhere

My personal favorite thing were the spouts. They are pretty heavy duty compared to cheapy products sold in stores. We’ve had batches going for several months now and have had zero issues. The bottles cleaned nicely the one time we cleaned them out, even the spouts. I would say I’d buy it again but I wont need to unless I break one. Oh! The lids! Those are my other favorite! It is a breathable mesh disc that fits under the screw on ring. Those are pretty darn cool too!

Works as designed and I have zero problems- very easy to maintain and create delicious kombucha

Tap was a little difficult to screw on tightly enough for seal without worry of breakage. Glass seems very thin around the tap hole.Works well if you can successfully sort out the tap fit, including removing and reinstalling for cleaning.If you add cut fruits etc. to your kombucha or use to brew with the scoby these may block the tap as there is no filter cover inside the jar
