Made roman blinds before but this was my first time using a kit. Instructions were a little confusing but ok once you work out what they are trying to tell you: one mistake, they tell you to divide the length of the blind into equal parts but actually the bottom section should be half the depth of all the others and then slightly deeper on the top section where it attaches to the cassette (add about an inch on). This will make everything look even when blind is pulled up.I had to cut the width of the cassette down slightly but was fairly straightforward. The blind has now been up for several months and all ok, nice smooth mechanism. Would buy again

Great blind kit-I have used theses many times to make a lot of blinds. Easy to use and the results are wonderful. Great value for money. Would highly recommend.

I have bought this kit before and have always been very pleased with the results. I found the fittings to strong and we'll out together. However.... On this occasion I needed to cut the width down to fit the window and on doing so discovered that the plastic guide piece that is provided for this job is not actually compatible with the bind itself. The piece is suppose to slot I side the end of the rail and hold the casing and turning mechanism in position to allow a straight cut. Although similar in appearance this guide piece is actually much more square than the blind casing and therefore cannot be slotted in as it's supposed to do. It will mean that we will have to judge by eye and take extra care to cut accurately as it is not possible to use the guide piece provided.Photo attached shows where square edges on the guide piece which do not match the rounded edges on the blind casing.

Great product. Very clear instructions. The seam allowances suggested were rather fiddly, so allowed more.

Not at all impressed. I usually buy these from another retailer for less but they had sold out and I needed one urgently. These headrail are identical down to the instruction sheet BUT there were only 4 cords instead of 5. I compared the instruction sheet to previous ones and indeed, for the 150cm headrail, previously 5 cords but this one 4 cords. I am a prefessional curtain maker and I would never advocate more than 40cm between cords, however this headrail gives you 46cm between cords. I will not order again.I've given 2 stars because the chain mechanism is very smooth and pulls up well.
