Not only for Young Athletes.. a Guide to Mental Toughness, period!
I found Chad Metcalf, (the author) on YouTube. His videos are super engaging, funny, concise and educational. I don't have kids and am not an athlete, but was curious about Mental Toughness in general. So, as a fan of Chads' I picked up the book , "Young Athletes' Ultimate Guide to Mental Toughness " As expected, the book is full of gems. He offers guidance, actionable steps, principles, examples, relatable stories and a can do attitude for anyone wanting to learn about Mental toughness. In Chapter 8, "Mental Toughness in the Real World," he's speaking to me... applying the principles beyond sports. Sorry folks, I'm not gonna list the teachings here, you've got to read the book ;-) For parents, kids, coaches, anyone who wants to become a person who can aspire, achieve and be unstoppable this little book gives generously.

For athletes of all ages
My career in sports would have lasted a lot longer if I had the thought processes that this book covers. Many athletes look past their weaknesses and focus on their strengths because it is the easy thing to do during self evaluation. All the great athletes talk about how they improved at certain aspects of their game each year. However, rarely do they talk about the thought process that went into understanding their weakness and how to improve on it. This book is a huge help in this area.Had I received this book during my college years, or even during the beginning to middle of my professional career, things most certainly would have come to a more positive ending.

Excelent book
Highly recommended for someone who is looking for how to control yourself during a match. After reading some psicology in sport, this book exceed all my expectations.
