Q: Do they Scratch easily and will scratch exposé aluminum right underneath the ceramic?

They don’t scratch easy, however they are not very non stick to begin with. After cooking with them for a few months I am not impressed. A non stock pan should be non stick. Eggs stick like crazy to this pan. I would’ve stuck with my All Clad stainless had I known this. Also, the pan isn’t flat. The pan is high centered so all the oil runs to the edges and like I said, the non stick surface is marginal. Very pretty pan but function wise I would pass.

Q: But are they made in China? If So how do you know what they're really made of?

Yes these are made in China but we have very tight QC procedures and have employees designated to observe all manufacturing of our products. These pots and pans are made in trusted high quality factories. Regardless of the factory location products are manufactured to the specifications required just like smart phones and computers.

Q: Can metal utensils be used in these?

You should not use metal utensils on any non-stick pans. You should use wood or silicone...metal tools will scratch most any surface even stainless steel can be scratched with metal tools.
