Great in soups and braised dishes. Love the texture, it has a nice bite, definitely a bit spongey (rather than soft). Light but distinct soy taste. Love that it lasts longer and is easier to store than regular tofu.

I found this to be very handy to keep in my pantry because it is always available. It's great in cooked dishes and soups. Perhaps a bit less tasty than fresh but much easier to keep and therefore eat more often. I would buy again if available.

I thought these would be good for miso soup on the fly. I was wrong. After attempting to rehydrate it using package instructions, I was still not thrilled with the texture of the tofu. however, I diced it up anyway, and put it in the soup. I let it sit a little bit more thinking that that would help. It did not. Womp womp. 🥲

I like Freeze Dried Tofu because of its spongy texture. It's also easy to cook.

If you enjoy the mouth-feel of the fried tofu in kitsune udon or agadashi tofu, you will enjoy this freeze-fried tofu in soups, stir fries, etc. This picture is from the recipe that came with the product. I added some wakame, shiitake mushrooms, and threw in kombu while the stock was simmering. Definitely recommend!

This tofu is horrible. The texture is unbearable. I tried to prepare it many times with many different flavors and many different ways. Have followed the directions to the T and still this tofu has the taste and texture of a magic cleaner eraser. If you enjoy eating sponges or couch cushions, this is the tofu for you. If you are a hurricane victim or have an otherwise flooded house dump these in water can they will soak up all the liquid. Then you can just ring them out and they are ready to soak up more liquid. No joke. Don’t make the same mistake as me save $25 and move on to a different purchase.

These are thinner than fresh made udon, but a lot more convenient! Plus, they have an excellent flavor to them and come in easy pre-tied portions that take all the guess work out. I would definitely buy these again.

Followed directions but tofu does not have a smooth creamy texture. Feels like chewing in a sponge. I have had other dehydrated tofu but this is the worst.
