NOTE: I am note an audiophile, but I love music. This unit totally fits my needs. It plays my old CDs and easily connects to my phone. I have a 1700 square foot two story house and it fills my downstairs with music that sounds very good. The bass is tight, not boomy. The mids are clear and the highs are decent. The design is simple and clean and it's easy to use. My only beef so far is that the included antenna doesn't pick up a single FM station, but I didn't buy it to listen to the radio. I bought it to listen to my CDs and stream from my phone and it does that flawlessly. Well worth the money.

I wanted to pop in a CD and listen without fuss. That's exactly what this is. I never even looked at the instructions! Connected the speaker wires - red to red, black to black - so old school and easy! Plugged in the power cord, popped in a CD, hit the play button. Currently listening to Norah Jones. The home office is 12x10 and this CD player fills the space with warm, crisp tones. It's so nice to have my CD's back in rotation without any issues. There's something to be said for the ease of wired devices. This ticked all the boxes for me: Ease of use, clarity, functionality, and good quality.

I am so happy that I'm near tears. I cannot thank another reviewer enough for including a video of the system working. The sound was great and prompted me to buy this unit on sale...which constitutes a splurge for me. Money is dear these days, and I can't afford mistakes. I'm bowled over by the sound. The unit was easy to set up and appears well made; sound can be heard everywhere in my small house from these tiny speakers. Honestly, Panasonic and that reviewer have made me a very happy person today!

I am satisfied. I'm just an average person when it comes to listening to music and judging the quality of the sound. Way better than listening on my phone, better than my little bluetooth speaker. I use it for CDs and FM radio. Some people say it has AM but I don't see that, but it doesn't matter to me. It gets in a LOT of FM stations, way more than my car radio and my little radio alarm clocks.Downside: the speaker wires are not very long and they are red and black so kind of unsightly. I have the speakers spread as far apart as possible and that results in 40" space between each speaker and main unit. The wires are hardwired into the speaker. The other end is bare wire that you affix into clips on the main unit. I don't know enough to attempt to splice additional wire and the manual has all kinds of warnings not to use other speakers, so I'll just live with it.The manual makes tuning in radio stations sound complicated but in practice it's not bad, unless maybe you want to switch many different stations all the time. Even then, I think you could just program the stations you want. I let the unit automatically scan because I am new to the area and unfamiliar with FM offerings.

Took me a while to shop for the right one. That may sound good. Had gotten a lower cost. One that described as sounding great but it sounded like a clock radio decided to get this one. The brand is very recognizable so I ordered it has good reviews. Got it delivered. Sounds great. Has Great Base. You can adjust trouble and bass happy with this purchase. I'm going to keep this one. I like it very highly recommended you do the same if you're looking for a great sounding little system

Comparing with SC-PM 270, this one is way better in terms of build quality (metal mainbody instead of plastic), sound quality (could really feel the bass).

I had to return the Panasonic 20 watt ( approx. $100.00 ) as factory defective ` I just bought the Panasonic 80 watt as a replacement ( approx. $200.00 ) ` The two stereos vary in wattage not size, but there is not surprisingly a TREMENDOUS difference in sound quality ` Both stereos feature play mode variations ( including SURROUND SOUND capacity ) ` I strongly recommend the 80 watt over the 20 watt for only $100.00 more ` The price variation is inconsequential as to which is the better value

Sound is beautiful! I mostly listen to classical music and am so happy with this CD player. My Sony needed to be replaced and after reading the reviews, I decided to take a chance with this one. So glad I did. I highly recommend.
