Kool Jool 8 Oz Jar Jewelry Making Soldering Aid Lets You Solder Without Removing Stones

Have not actually used the product - the seal was not adequate and the inside of the package had product all over it. Hopefully it is not too dry to use

The first container I order was cracked open and spilled everywhere. I notified the company and got a replacement right away. Works great!

I was resizing a ring that had unremovable stones, meaning taking the stone out would damage the ring. So I ordered Kool Jool and used it as directed, while soldering the ring back together kool Jool caught fire! I was under the impression that Kool Jool would be able to deal with the soldering environment. This should be an inert material! I would Not recommend nor use Kool jool again. I had to do extensive repairs to this ring because of Kool Jool. I had to Buy Another heat shield product and that one worked perfectly. Kool Jool Caught on FIRE!

Didn’t work. I slathered it on, and still my stone burned badly. I’ll have to re-polish it from the beginning. Plus, this stuff puts out noxious fumes while the jewelry is being soldered. I could smell them through my mask.
