My Go-To Timepiece: The Amazfit Balance Has Exceeded All Expectations!
I purchased the Amazfit Balance Smart Watch back in July 2024, and I can honestly say it has become an indispensable part of my daily life. In fact, I love this watch so much that it's the only one I wear. It has completely replaced any other timepieces I owned. What truly stands out about the Amazfit Balance is its incredible versatility and performance. From tracking my daily activity levels and sleep patterns to providing insightful health metrics, it does everything I need and more. The accuracy of the step counting, heart rate monitoring, and sleep analysis has been consistently impressive. It provides a comprehensive overview of my well-being that encourages me to stay active and mindful of my health. The battery life is also a major highlight. I typically only need to take it off to charge, which is usually every few days depending on my usage. This minimal downtime is fantastic and means it's almost always on my wrist and tracking my data. The only other time it leaves my wrist is when I shower, simply out of habit and to keep it in pristine condition.Beyond the fitness and health tracking, the smartwatch features are incredibly useful. Receiving notifications for calls, texts, and apps directly on my wrist is convenient and allows me to stay connected without constantly checking my phone. The ability to control music playback and access other handy tools directly from the watch face is also a great bonus. The design of the Amazfit Balance is sleek and comfortable for all-day wear. The display is clear and easy to read even in bright sunlight, and the responsiveness of the touchscreen is excellent. The build quality feels premium and durable, reassuring me that it can withstand daily wear and tear.Honestly, the Amazfit Balance has far exceeded my initial expectations. It's not just a smartwatch; it's a comprehensive health and lifestyle companion that seamlessly integrates into my daily routine. For anyone looking for a reliable, feature-rich, and long-lasting smartwatch, I wholeheartedly recommend the Amazfit Balance. It has truly become my go-to timepiece, and I can't imagine my day without it.

Great watch for the price
After my Pebble 2 SE started to wear down I switched over to the Amazfit Bip because at the time it was the only comparable smartwatch with similar battery life. Since then I upgraded to the GTS2e and now to the Balance. Needless to say I haven't found a reason to move away from Amazfit as I have always been happy with their watches. The most important feature for me is the battery life, I hate having one more thing to worry about charging if I travel or am away from a power source most of the day. Though I have only been using the Balance for a few days, based on my experience so far I'm pretty confident you could go at least 7 days without needing a charge so long as you don't use the always on display or excessive GPS tracking.I have also enjoyed Amazfit's built in watch apps, they provide everything I need in a watch; notifications, the ability to take calls/respond to texts, a timer, alarm, and a find my mobile function that makes your phone ring when you misplace it. The Balance also introduces an app store where additional apps can be downloaded. Its fairly limited compared to what is offered by Apple or Google, but its nice to have the option. The health tracking is just an added bonus in my book.As for the accuracy, I think it is accurate enough for what it is and can give you a good general sense of where your health metrics are at. It likely isn't as accurate as higher end fitness focused watches, but considering the cost, battery life, and user experience features it includes that are more akin to a traditional smart watch I think its a worthy compromise. The recent update to Zepp OS 3.5 has added its own built in AI assistant, Zepp Flow. It's nothing ground breaking, but it is nice to have and can make doing things like setting a timer, alarm, or starting a workout as easy as asking the watch to do it for you. It also includes Amazon Alexa which can be useful for controlling other smart home devices.Physically its very comfortable to wear, being thin and lightweight. I wear it all day and at night when sleeping without any issues whatsoever. The screen is also very vibrant and can get surprisingly bright which makes it easy to see even in direct sunlight. The included silicone watch strap is also comfortable and has a nice added feature. In the past I have had issues with silicone bands as the keeper that prevents the excess band from flopping around would wear down and allow the band to slip out, requiring me to constantly adjust it and slip it back in. The keeper on the included band has a small notch in it that allows it to plug into the last hole on the band so this should prevent it from slipping out in the future.Overall I think its a great watch for anyone that is looking for something in-between a dedicated fitness device and smart watch, it provides the best of both worlds at a reasonable price.

Great Fitness Tracker & Smart Watch, Poor Sleep Tracker
Starting off, the design of the device itself is very nice and the watch feels very premium. ZeppOS has very little lag and very feature rich. It felt like my Galaxy Watch5 in terms of features, but nicer looking (in my opinion) and incredibly better battery life. Looking at the rated 14 days, I assumed it wouldn’t have many features or the UI would be very sluggish. The UI is simple, easy to use, and fluid. Everything worked well and seemed fairly accurate. For me there were only three downsides. Two were minor gripes and the other was a dealbreaker. The first gripe is, on android you have to have the Zepp app running at all times in order for notifications to be forwarded to the watch. The second gripe is that there is no setting for your heart rate to be monitored continuously with the shortest interval being 1 minute. The dealbreaker for me was the sleep tracking is not very accurate at all. It would report that I was sleeping as soon as I got into bed. In the mornings, I like to sit up and catch up on notifications and social media, usually 15-30 minutes. It reports this time in the morning as not just sleep, but deep sleep. I have sleep issues I’m trying to resolve so decent sleep tracking is a must.Overall I really wanted this to work for me. If you are looking for a smart watch/fitness tracker, this is the decision to make over any Android WearOS watch unless, like me, you really value sleep tracking. This watch easily punches above its price range and I preferred it greatly over my Polar Ignite 3 Titanium.
