This Remote Control Helicopter is a fantastic toy for my daughter. Perfect for birthdays, this flying toy operates on a 2.4GHz frequency and features a gyro for stability, along with LED lights for added fun. It's suitable for beginners and flys indoors really well.

Flies quite high, kids liked it, and one of the kids feared it. Overall amazing product

Price at review: £24.99So this helicopter uses infra-red and NOT 2.4 ghz radio as it says in the listing (reduced one star for this). This means you have to be closer to it and have line of sight.The instructions specifically say you can't fly it outside due to the controls only working at close range and not in sunlight. This limits it to indoor use. Should you really try to fly a helicopter inside? Its really rather difficult not to hit things with it and it makes so much more sense for something like this to be an outdoor toy.It doesn't have any altitude stabilizing so you have to be very skillful adjusting the throttle to give it exactly the right amount of lift.I have used other helicopter toys which are priced slightly lower than this and work outdoors and do have at least some throttle stabilization which makes them easier to fly.Other than this it works pretty well but the above limitations mean I don't think it is that much use and there are better similar toys available.

Very flimsy

The media could not be loaded. I cannot tell you how good this helicopter is, Honestly I was expecting something quite pitiful that could just and so hover off the ground.I couldn't have been more wrong.For less than £20 you are getting a fantastic helicopter with really good flying capabilities that is incredibly responsive and terrific fun!I was testing the helicopter in the house, Being quite safe with it and just getting it to hover off the ground.My daughter decided we should take it outside and she would fly it in the garden. That went great we were so impressed by it until she got overconfident and went too high and a gust of wind took three houses away and smashed it onto their driveway.Bearing in mind this helicopter had been almost at the height of the houses when it fell - There wasn't one bit of damage to it, Not even a scratch!We couldn't believe it was still in perfect condition, I think it's thanks to the flexible blades that it has and the metal bodywork.It's actually quite easy to control, It just takes practice getting it to balance.The helicopter is rechargeable using a USB cable supplied, But the handset requires batteries which are not supplied.I also love that the helicopter has lights on it that you can also control from the handset.Although this is sold as a toy it would definitely be suitable for an adult.It's fantastic quality, As we found out it's very durable and can withstand quite big impacts.It's excellent value for money and I think it's something that any kid or adults would love to receive as a gift.
