Great product minus the bright distracting electric blue leds shining out of the front.
You will likely want some black tape to minimize the indicators. But, this has been amazing. I had a receiver that accepted 1080p HDMI. Switching to this and piping to the receiver the 5.1 channel audio and the projector the 4K video has been a massive quality improvement. Additionally piping the l/r output to a Bluetooth multiplexer allows multiple people to listen with headphones. This likely saved me hundreds of dollars by letting me continue to use my 1080p receiver. And the audio splitting is better than what my receiver was doing.

Piece of trash stopped working after a month
It's a pile of junk, it worked ok for a few weeks, then stopped working. Company is worthless.

Breathing New Life into My Yamaha Stereo Amplifier
This device works perfectly for my specific use case, which involves connecting multiple input sources, such as Google TV, Apple TV, a Blu-ray player, and a PC. The output from this setup is connected to a large TV, while the L/R output is linked to a stereo amplifier. In response to another review comment about the headphone jack not being necessary, I'd like to clarify that L/R out is a line-out, not a headphone jack. Moreover, this is the only analog out on this device, without which the entire device would be rendered useless for me, unless I were to add a separate DAC. There are still many of us who haven't adopted 5.1, 6.1, 7.1, 20.1, etc., systems. For us, a good stereo system that can shake the floor and walls is all we need for music, movies, and more. While it's nice that this device comes with an optical out option, I would personally prefer an HDMI audio-only out instead. This device isn't designed to sit on top of a TV console or win a beauty contest. The arrangement of ports doesn't matter much, as once you set up the device, it's usually hidden behind the TV or inside the console. That's why the IR receiver isn't integrated but instead connects externally, with a cable that allows for flexible positioning, even if the device is tucked away inside the TV console. And this setup works quite well too.I'll update this review as I test more use cases, as this device offers a wide range of possibilities for connecting various devices to it. Based on my current testing and use cases, I can confidently recommend this Audio Extractor.

Very technical device
This switch has a lot of processing capabilities included in such a small device. The ability to switch between multiple options for the video type of the device is both nice for those that understand the differences and overwhelming for those that don't and just want a plug and play solution. There are no instructions that explain the options, much less how and where to get and use update files for the device. The device performs the hdmi switching well, but needs to be done manually by pressing the button on the actual device, which means it need to be accessible. The performance is acceptable for the audio when using ARC, but the other option is sub-par. The video processing did not, seemingly, induce any negative effects.

I think the cost is a bit high for this
My daughter's tv only has 2 HDMI inputs and she has 3 devices she uses so I needed a splitter. I went with this one because it has features that involve the audio out puts and I figured in the future it may be needed on the living room tv/sound system. Plus it has a remote so it can be neatly hidden behind the TV and not worry about always having to get access to it to change the input. Some other reviews had issues with not having a power cord but mine came with one. Not sure what was different with their orders. I think it is really expensive for the price and after messing with it I don't think I personally would spend that much on it if I needed another splitter but maybe others need that feature. The 3 stars are for the cost and not for the quality.

Keeps flashing
Other than the disappointment of not being able to get more than 2 channel output from the extractor, the video keeps flashing. Basically every few seconds the video will disconnect and reconnect. It seems related to any change in data going through the video cable, if I leave it alone on a static screen it stays fine for the most part.Other than the problems, the video does seem fine without any noise.

Awesome!
I like this HDMI switch box, it has 4 HDMI plug in and 1 plug out as pictured in attached photos, this makes connecting lots of things up easy without running all the wiring to your wall mount T.V. We have a Blue Ray player, a video game, a firestick, and a P.C. all run smoothly with no glitches. I like a couple of the features this box offers that other switch products we own do not and that makes this one well worth the extra $. It offers optical out plug in on the front for those who wish to run optical audio, we tried it out and man no sound delays what so ever worth it completely, also it has a 3.5 mini audio out on the front for those folks like myself who still have a non digital sound system and this too is a great feature to plug in our 5.1 Dolby surround sound via a 3.5 to RCA plugs and it rocks. The third feature this switch box offers which makes it a true standout!!! It has a auxiliary I.R. sensor plug in cable that's about 4 ft. long for the remote to be picked up, meaning you can hide the switch away and place the small wired sensor and every thing is tucked away nice and neat. This unit has the ability to transmit in Dolby vision and Dolby atmos which is a nice new added feature. This little unit is slightly higher priced than some but, it has a lot more bang for the buck with all the features and it will deliver, so spend the extra dime you won't be disappointed!
