I'm Not Mad At It
Paid $27 for them almost 2 years ago. And in that time, I can say I've beat on them...first by having them connected to the stock radio which was used to sending 8 ohms to the rear speakers of my '06 impala, then powered solely by a Kenwood Excelon DMX9708S radio, then amped from a Alpine KTP-445U.These have taken the abuse. I don't listen to my music quietly by any means, however I make sure I tune everything as flat as I can with what I've got. As far as sound goes, these get sufficiently loud, midrange is clear, if not punching above it's weight. Lows are surprisingly pronounced for a 6Ć9 speaker that advertises the frequency response it does. It doesn't have punch, but the bass does have good presence. It's a little boomy and lacking definition, but nowhere near as bad as paper speakers tend to do. Certainly in line with expectations of a $27 speaker, especially considering the competition at this price point typically lacks bass (despite being the size meant for it). Highs...it's definitely a piezo tweeter and there's not much that can be done about that. Piezo tweeters by nature are both harsh sounding and lacking definition and this is no exception. The harshness can be compensated for, but don't be expecting great detail out of these. All in all, not a bad speaker if you're looking for a stock replacement that's going to outperform most stock speakers but not by much. It can actually handle a decent amount of power, seems to be reasonably efficient, hits the lows that a lot of the speakers around this price point lack, and they seem reasonably durable - HOWEVER, these are constructed using a foam surround, and especially in an application similar to mine where these are going to be used in a rear deck, I can see that foam deteriorating over the next 5 years. Foam doesn't last long and doesn't stand well under UV exposure. Rubber does better and I would to have preferred to have seen a rubber surround, even if it meant paying a few dollars more. But, I do keep in mind that the target audience is probably people looking for stock replacements or for something that'll sound decent enough and last a few years while they save up for something leagues better. There's better out there for sure, but at this rock bottom price point it's hitting above it's weight. Certainly exceeded my (albeit low) expectations.

No bass, great treble and mids
Easy to install, and decent sound but if you're looking for bass not the ones I'd buy.

Plastic parts broke; one speaker DOA
While installing these speakers the brittle plastic frames fell apart. For the price I thought Iād just live with it but one of the speakers was dead on arrival. You get what you pay for. I returned them.
