Worked like a charm
I purchased this as a last ditch effort. I tried all the other fixes to no avail.My compressor was hot and trying to start. Once installed, it started up immediately.I am thrilled. It took years get my husband to buy me a new fridge and I was so looking forward to having the old one(2001 model) in the garage.The guys moved it correctly and it just wouldn't restart.I checked the average lifespan of that model. It was 16-18yrs. Mine is 21🤔.

Simple instructions
Frig compressor quit. Loked online and DIY folks said this would fix it. Since service call was 6x the cost of this unit, why not give it a try. Worked.

Fixed my refrigerator!
Yes! It worked. My fridge stopped cooling so I tested every electrical item on my fridge that I could think of. The compressor tested with no failure of the coils, T-stats were good, had a new overload protection, capacitor was good, etc.. The compressor would start for about 5 seconds and then I would hear a click and it would shut off. I assumed the compressor had a mechanical failure inside and it was locked up. This was the "last ditch" item to try and it worked. Fridge is back to normal operation now.

Work good most likely work better if refrigerator was driven by consistent power source home current 💯 off grid ran by solor power and power inverter last one lasted over a a year before failing compressor cycles on and if under low voyage situation when powet inverter go into auto shutdown mode so capacitor it taking undue abuse that would not happen if was hooked to city power grid . So have no complaints so I'll keep buying at this price and reliability

Part worked until it didnt
Easy install, clear instructions. Worked great until now. Lasted 9 months. Lucky caught in time not to let 200# of meat to go bad. Disappointed in how long it lasted.

Won’t work on LG refrigerators because LG is junk.
It worked and was an easy install, but I hav a Kenmore refrigerator that was built by LG. LG used a compressor with plastic pistons that wear out in as little as 3 years. There’s a class action lawsuit against LG regarding the linear compressor that they used in the sealed unit LG manufactured. LG refuses to fix my LG refrigerator because it has a Kenmore badge on it. So now I have a $1700 stainless steel pile of crap in my garage that LG won’t do anything about even though they were ordered to under the stipulation of the lawsuit. NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING THAT LG HAS MANUFACTURED!
