The media could not be loaded. Very impressed for what it cost and I think it looks great. Throws out a lot of heat and not too loud. I like the flame effect. Gives out a cosy feeling. Took a few mins to screw the legs on. Has a thermostat. I like the fan is high up and not at the bottom.

I am very satisfied to date with this heater. It is light as it's plastic, however it does not look plastic. Plastic legs are easy to fit.Gives a very believable flame effect. The flame effect only is very quiet. The heating is a fan and so you must expect some noise. It's not too bad and with the thermostat it's not on all the time.I find that with just the lower heat setting it quickly warms up my living room. The thermostat is working well.The lead is not sufficient to reach my socket and so I am using an extension lead. The lead is supposed to take a maximum 3kw load and so I don't see this as a problemOverall a good heater for the price.

Nice size and looks cosy when lights are on. Gives out plenty heat.

Chose this for its neat appearance, choice of settings, and particularly a fan at the top. Having a cat, a fan at the bottom would have warmed the cat, not the room. It has a decent length cord, heats the room quickly and I don't find the fan too loud. One thing I don't like is 'do not cover' in white capitals on the top. Would have preferred a removable label.

We're so used to having an open fire, we weren't sure how we'd feel with electric. However, this is value for money heat's really well, not too noisy, flame effect is nice, looks wonderful in our room and warms our room size quickly. Definitely recommend it.

I really like this stove and would have given it 5 stars if I could get an answer whether there is a real difference between the 1.st and 2nd heat settings and the thermostat settings. The heat is very good on setting 1 but I cannot sense any difference between setting 1 or 2, hence I worry about the energy consumption on heat level 1as I don't know if the setting function works and the output/energy consumption is the same on both settings. The thermostat does not seem to adjust the heat output as advertised apart from me being able to shut off the heat completely when it clicks half way. I asked the seller who just offered me a refund/replacement but I just wanted to have it confirmed that the stove works by using less energy on setting 1 although I cannot feel much more heat output when I switch to level 2. The thermostat is the same. It just shuts the heat off and does not reduce or increase the heat as advertised. The flame effect also cannot be regulated although I don't care about this much as I like it as it is. I just want to know whether the write up is promising too much in which case there is no point of me exchanging this product as otherwise I will just put up with it because on the whole I think that the stove looks nice and has a nice flame effect. I just wonder about the energy consumption on level 1 and whether it is the same as on level2 as I cannot feel the difference and wonder if other customers have the same question.

It took a week of contacting Nettadirect to get an answer to my question about how long the power lead was, they do have an instant online chat function but there does not seem to be anybody manning it. Anyway, the answer is stated as 157cms but this is quite short, the manual states not to use an extension lead but later contradicts itself by giving advice on using an extension lead which I use but to be on the safe side I do not leave operating if not in the room. The manual also states that there are spare screws but no spares were supplied so care is needed when screwing on the legs because they do screw in but not comfortably. There appears to be no access to the inside and there is no reference in the manual as to how to change the bulb or fix the mechanism that produces the flame effect so if or when they wear out presumably that is the end but if it lasts a year or more then the price is right. The heater works well without being noisy. There is no flame adjustment or remote control but the manual controls are on the right hand side in a convenient position. The bulk of the unit is plastic but this is usefully light to carry about and is not at all noticeable. Whilst it does not win any prizes for its flame effect it nevertheless provides a pleasant effect in the room and costs little to run, without the heating on. The manual describes the device as a `large stove heater` which could be better described as a `small but quaint stove heater` and in conclusion I am quite happy with this unit for the price as long as it lasts at least a year at which time I would also be happy to replace it.UpdateTested blower once for a few seconds only, both working, tested a second time higher heat setting working but not lower heat setting.
