A Honest Review
This game is no where near as good as advertised. The only good things about the game are the slightly improved graphics, a more updated roster, and a longer season mode.In a alot of ways the game takes a few steps backwards. First of all. You can still not defend titles in exhibition mode. That's probably the biggest disappointment. Not only can you not defend the titles there. The game doesn't even recognise the champions in exhibition. There is no notice of a wrestlers champion status. They might as well just be a jobber. The roster is more up to date than Just Bring It. But it still isn't accurate. There is no Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Batista, Jamal or Rosie, Tommy Dreamer, Justin Credible, Mike Awesome, Hugh Morris, and the game also is without Paul Heyman. The absence of Paul Heyman is the worse part. Brock Lesnar entered the WWE with Heyman and he isn't in the game. Just lazy programming. The game could have also had Rey Mysterio in it. THQ found a way to include his wrestling attire and mask in CAW mode, but failed to put him in the game. The season mode that some people have praised is also overrated. Yes it's longer than Just Bring It. But it still doesn't compare to Smackdown 2 or even the first Smackdown title. After the two year season (which I completed in two days) you have to start season mode all over. With the original champion. (Undertaker)Gamers should have been given much more with this title. But instead they were given just another game that makes you look forward to the next title to meet your wrestling gaming needs or wishes.A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

Still great! Good old days..
I remember playing this game as a kid and spending hundreds of hours on it, I must say it still didn't lose its charm 15 years later.

Still a superstar
Despite Smackdown 5 being on the horizon, this game still looks and feels like it's justified its reputation as the best WWE Wrestling game to date. The roster is almost up-to-date although several wrestlers are not in the game who should be. Nevertheless, the create-a-wrestler mode makes up for this as you can create endless look-a-likes of wrestlers from past and present using guides to create identical models of wreslters. You'd be surprised how similar they look, however the mode is kind of ruined by bad musical accompaniment - entrance music which is original is hard to find, and even wrestlers already in the game do not often enter the ring as they would and it is ofen annoying to hear the hardy boyz music as some weird guitar song, and even to still hear that music when matt now has mattitude and jeff has gone!Over all it's a really good game and it's satisfying to see ur wrestler go all the way in some storylines that although are similar, never seem the same as the previous ones. If u like WWE games, u will like this one even if it does get on ur nerves at times.
