I wanted a head lamp that lasted longer than the cheap ones and easy to use. The picture instructions leave a lot to be desired! But help is not far away from Ledlenser. It was quite hard (for me, no expert!) to get the lamp into the cradle to charge, but once I put more pressure on, it's fine. Pity you have to take the comfort pad off though. You can charge it without the cradle but the magnets arent that strong so can easily drop off if you're not careful. Am very happy with it though as it's guaranteed for 7 years when you register - and the battery is permanent so dont have to bother about that. It's also more stable than the usual elastic headband and the lamp is light and easy to wear

I wanted a lightweight head torch for night runs during the winter. This is perfect. On full beam, this lights up the trails ahead and stops me tripping in the woods! Even the low setting works well on the roads, and lasts for hours on a single charge. I've used it in the rain and it's still waterproof.

I like the this torch, I have used it for trail running and it is light, the headband does not make my head hurt and it lights up the trails really well. On the downside the button is really complicated, it has numerous presses for different functions e.g. holding down the button gives you a weird ultra bright mode for 10 seconds and then sometimes pressing the button gives you a red light. You have to remember to press the main button twice for less than 3 seconds. I think the button should simply be power on.

Powerful and bright for these evening muddy runs throughout the cold season(s). Long lasting charge, good fit with double strap, even over woolly hat.

This torch only arrived today but it’s going straight back, because the sales information is misleading.My main criticism is that it is advertised as having a brightness of 500 lm. The maximum continuous brightness is actually 300 lm, so considerably less. 500 lm is only available with the boost setting, which automatically switches off after 10 seconds. Thee is no mention of this in the description.So the head torch operates at only 60% of the advertised performance, unless you’re happy with 500 ml for literally 10 second bursts (otherwise it will apparently overheat).Also the battery supposedly lasts for up to 35 hours. This is obviously at the lowest brightness setting which, to be honest, is pretty unusable.If you switch to max (not boost) power of 300 lm, the battery charge lasts just 2.5 hours. Yes that’s 2.5, not 25!This information is documented on line if you search for it, but it’s not on the Amazon page. I wish I had done more background research before pressing the Buy button, but I naively expected that I could rely on Amazon for this information.Also I interpreted from the Amazon description that the product has an infinite illumination focus from wide angle to a long narrow beam. That’s not the case, it’s just controlled by the three brightness settings combined with angle adjustment of the lamp head.This purchase was to replace an old head torch which was half the price. That achieved a genuine 500 lm, and had a battery that lasted 10 hours plus at 500 lm. It also had infinite focus and a sensor control to turn it on and off with a wave of the hand.To be fair the Ledlenser does feel well made and is comfortable, which is why I have given a second star rating, but Amazon fortunately offer free returns, so it’s going straight back.Frankly, I feel I’ve been done!

I bought this to replace another light. This has excellent battery life and very good flexible light. Easy to set up and quick charge. Would recommend

Good quality head torch, lights up the area well, and is easy to charge
