This was a good purchase. The unit works very well, has numerous outputs, easy to read and easy to use, well built and good value for money.

Useful item
This is useful to have and it’s good to know how much power various appliances are using. It was, however, a bit tricky to set up. It seemed quite awkward to change from euros to sterling and I still haven’t worked out how to reset total cost. Just try to remember what it was when I put it on to new appliance. The second one was a bit quicker.Overall worth having though.

A great tool to help with the bills
Super easy to use and nice to track usage of a single item. We have heated mats for our elderly pets and wondered how much they were contributing to our outrageous electric bill (£500+/month!! For a two bedroom flat!!) Fortunately they don’t cost much but now we know for sure.

Excellent for checking just how many watts your devices use
Excellent for checking your watts usage and cost, it’s abit of a faff setting up the cost price, you will need your electricity bill to hand to find your exact price pkwh, but once setup it’s worth having a look, I highly recommend it solely on the basis of plugging in various high powered devices and seeing exactly how many watts they pull in use

The Energy Monitor Plug Sounded Ideal BUT
This plug sounded ideal to monitor the cost of a Dehumidifier I purchased. It had all of the function needed including a battery backup it the power was removed or the plug unplugged.The problem was the battery backup does not appear to work as if I unplug it the display disappears as well as the stored data. I decided to keep the plug as it was the third one I had tried and they all had the same problem and so long as I keep it plugged in I can monitor the cost of running the dehumidifier.The plug is robust and appears well made with a clear display and backlight.

Useful & easy to use power meter
Handy plug-in meter. Worth reading the instructions to understand the different modes and configure the settings for kw/h unit costs but after that very easy to use. I bought it to check actual and total kw/h of various appliances. Confirmed that some appliances (eg. CPAP, thermostatic devices, etc.) have actual power usage that varies significantly from their rated wattage. Can be left plugged in and display current and total power used over time and (if unit cost properly set) the cost over time as well. Would recommend.
