Tilda's Fairy Tale Wonderland: Over 25 beautiful sewing and papercraft projects

This is a beautiful craft book with beautiful photography and projects. But, this is not for beginning sewers or crafters because there is a complete lack of proper instructional content for people who are new to doll making, in particular. There are several mislabeled patterns and unless you are at least at intermediate level, you could make a lot of mistakes.That said, for me, I love it. I will go as far as to say that this is even soothing as a book just to page through to simply admire the photos and originality of the projects.Because her materials are only sold in the U.K., you will have to be more creative in sourcing project materials. I happen to like changing the designs and using my own materials so that my pieces are unique so I wouldn’t purchase her materials even if they were available here, but I know some people only want to use the exact items. Just be aware before you buy the book that you won’t have access.Recommend for the intermediate to advanced crafter/sewer.

The book came in a timely manner, but I was disappointed to feel it's got blue stickysubstance smeared on the cover and bottom of binding. I have had to scrape it off and wipe it off.Oily marks and feeling simply dirt, make me reluctant to open and explore the book. It should havebeen cleaned better before shipping. ( And no, I did npo take before photos, as I simply wanted to clean it offbefore it got on my clothes and so I could actually open the book pages. Any photo now would show shadows of where oily substance use to be. )

Delightful book. Fun to read, as well as useful for a doll maker. I would say previous experience with sewing is a help because some of the directions are vague or generalized, but the dolls are relatively easy. The patterns are classic and well designed so you can personalize them using more or less decoration, all sorts of fabrics and materials. One thing I could not figure out is the chicken's "thigh." We decided the author has never seen a real chicken and was using a sketch or cartoon to design the bird. I am very happy to have this book, and will probably purchase more by this author.

There are some really sweet patterns for Tilda and friends in this book. Finnager's book are eye candy for those who love making dolls and stuff characters. I think her directions are easy to follow and I like the fact that patterns are to size and I don't have to enlarge them myself. I do not live in an area where I can go to a copy/printing place and have it done so I don't purchase books where all you get is a teeny pattern to enlarge. I particularly love the Pinocchio doll in this book and I would love to make him up for Christmas this year.

Great projects with a variety of dolls and animals

I have purchased several of the TIlda books in the past and absolutely love her style and designs. I made five of her Scandinavian Santa's (from Tilda's Christmas Ideas) one year as Christmas gifts for my adult family members and they loved them. Can't wait to make some of the Fairy Tale Wonderland figures, especially "Bambi"! And the soldiers, nutcrackers, and ballerinas are one of a kind designs! If you like to sew and make stuffed dolls, animals, and decorations, you will not be disappointed with Tilda's books. There is something to enjoy in every book!

This is my first Tilda purchase and the book is beautiful. Lovely pictures nicely written and found patterns easy to use and I’m not very good at sewing but my ballerina turned out ok...

So here are my reviews of five till the books I wanted the pattern to the till the doll and clothing I was not into getting the rest of her art. Fairytale Wonderland book. I believe I'm going to keep this book out of the five it hasn't always patterns that I like here they are... head on Christmas deer like the cats and dogs how to do hair but each book has a different hairstyle. There is a tube top a ballerina angel with a short dress and ballet shoes how to make a rose Anatole adult stocking for Christmas how to make slippers for the Tilda doll a Drummer Boy Soldier with one leg cup till the dolls really cute a tea kettle concussion pudding cake pin cushion petite cozy or toaster cozy wood coasters for your cups saluting Soldier letters Pinocchio kill the doll with shorts acute Christmas deer toy a mushroom pincushion looks like there's a head on dire bear rabbit baby fox a simple skirt pattern and a skirt that's attached to a top with short puffy sleeves if you want a removable shirt also a different kind of purse the heart pidove 134 pages of pictures then page 136 to 159 has the pattern pieces.

Once more this book was eagerly awaited and didn't dissapoint. My word such wonderful photos and great instructions and actual size templates. Tone's sewing projects do come together so well,so v ery pretty I want to make them all. My book only arrived today. I have all Tone's books and have loved each and everyone. El libro es muy bello, pero la entrega fue pésima, lastimaron el libro y hasta rompieron la parte inferior del lomo. Jamás me había pasado esto en Amazon. No lo quiero regresar pues era un libro que quería mucho. Pero sería bueno que tomaran en cuenta esto para proteger los lomos de este tipo de libros.
