had 8 treatments of chemotherapy taxol. Used these cold caps as directed. AMAZING!!!!Taxol has a 95% rate of losing hair... I did not lose my hair and I think it was these cold caps.highly highly recomment

I disliked that you can use it for only 30 minutes.I used it for chemotherapy.

As a 70 year old I'm still suffering from hot flashes. I have a wide assortment of ice packs, but this cap goes straight to the source, my scalp! It's easy to put on and remove as desired and will fit a variety of sizes. I will be using this frequently. Thank you!

I bought 2 of those for my wife undertaking a chemo treatment in the hope she would not loose her hair to no avail. First, they must be kept in the fridge only before use, we usually put them in the fridge 2 days before so the cold reaches deep in the gel but they reach room temperature within 15-20 minutes while treatment lasts for 30 to 90 minutes. Rotating them by putting the warm one in the cooler does not really help since you must wear that 30 minutes prior, then during and 30 minutes after the infusion. In the end, the wife lost her hair anyway. It may be useful for headache relief, I don't know. They are heavy but comfortable though! Please remove the mention about the chemo therapy statement in the product description, it is misleading.

I'm on chemo for Triple Positive Breast cancer and could not afford the expensive set up so ordered. 6 of these. I also bought the hands and feet kit and drag it all with me to the hospital with dry ice for each treatment. My head gets so hot during chemo one of these literally frozen caps melts within 2O min. So, I have to keep rotating the caps into the cooler to refreeze them. It's SO much work I have to get a friend to help me. My hair did end up falling out after my first treatment, but I'm going to continue doing the whole routine and hoping to prevent neuropathy. I think if you want your hair to not fall out during chemo you have to get the fancy $$$$ system, wet your hair and use it for at least 4 hours after your chemo. I just didn't have that kind of money. For those of you looking to save your hair for chemo and cannot afford it either, I am sending you a big hug and want you to know, you are not alone, and it will grow back.
