I was in two minds about purchasing the SC3 as I didn't think it could do better than any other brush and cleaning spray - How wrong I was.Once you set it to the desired Water hardness level and let it get to temperature which only takes 30 seconds you're all set to go.The steam really is constant and cleans stuff from tiles and grout that bleach wouldn't. The floor mop has removed dirt from floors I thought were clean. It takes 1L of tap water and gives you plenty of steam, I did my entire bathroom and half the kitchen before it needed a refill.When it runs dry it automatically switches off the pump to avoid damage and flashes red to indicate a refill is needed.Register your device on the karcher website for two years warranty.I'm very happy I bought this, I nearly didn't and know I'm cleaning my whole house with it.Pros:Impressive run time between refillsSuperior cleaning powerEasy to use and setupTrue constant steamGood qualityCons:It only came with one floor mop pad and small brush mop pad, a few of each would have been better so I bought cheaper alternatives to go with it.Didn't include wire bristle brush for cooker etc which is now an extra purchase I'll have to make.This has opened my eyes to steam cleaning, I'll never go back to bleaches and other harsh chemicalsAn unpaid for review of a Karcher SC3 that I purchased myself.

Brilliant steamer that cleans practically everything in the home. easy to use and compact, great steam pressure. Only neg is it only comes with 2 cleaning clothes, 1 for floor and 1 for the hand held brush so had to purchase extra. Ive tried several types of steamers in the past and this one is defo the best by far for all domestic use.

Impressive cleaning power! I love how quickly this unit heats up, and the ability to refill while in use is a great feature.However, I’ve noticed that it tends to shoot out quite a bit of water during use. I contacted the manufacturer, and they suggested using it in short bursts—which I tried—but unfortunately, it didn’t resolve the issue. I now have to keep a bucket nearby because excess water starts to spray out even after the machine has been idle for just a short time.I’m still deciding whether to keep it because of this. I’ll reach out to the manufacturer again to see if there’s a better solution.That said, it cleaned my bathroom effortlessly—tiles and lino included. Everything felt truly spotless afterward. I live with health challenges, so anything that makes cleaning easier is a big help, and this product really does lighten the load. I just hope I can get the water issue sorted out.

If you want something that actually does the job . That a Woman can assemble and use straight away especially if you are a 78 year old pensioner this is for you . I can’t tell you how happy it has made me . I bought a Polti in 2002 . It just broke. This one is much better . I have just cleaned my hall and kitchen and cloakroom. And it was so easy. The Polti was so heavy and the attachments were a fiddle and to heavy . Iam so glad that I chose this fabulous product it’s put a Big Smile on my face.

It arrives well packed in a sturdy box, with most of the tools you will ever need.I have used other steam cleaners before.If you are new to a steam cleaner then they are very good. Basically they loosen up dirt that would otherwise need cleaning solutions, leaving relatively dry clean surface behind. Just remember the dirt is only shifted though, it doesn't magically disappear, you need a good supply of kitchen towels or whatever you choose to mop up the dirt after it's been "shifted". I usually tackle the cleaning with the steam cleaner in one hand an a paper towel in the other!The instructions are more complex than they need to be. Basically, plug the descaler in, add some water, turn it on, wait for 30s and off you go!When you first turn it on it you need to aim the jet in to the reservoir. This is because the pipes are usually full of cold water and that needs to be forced out. I found that although it creates steam in 30 seconds it takes another minute or so to fully warm up to the point where it is creating a good constant flow of steam.It's extremely simple to use. Much easier than other makes. You don't have a big reservoir of pressured steam, rather it just heats what you need. The reservoir of water is kept unpressurised so you just top that up as necessary. Most others the water is pressurised so you have to switch the unit off, release the pressure, top it up, turn it back on and wait fifteen minutes while it pressurises again.The fast on time and the easy top-up make a huge difference with this steamer. You will find you are using it all the time. With a conventional steamer you won't use it anything like as often, because of that long warm up and top up time.On the negative side it does take a minute or so for the pressure to stabilise and it never gets as high as a traditional steamer. Other makes take longer to warm up but then deliver constant higher pressure.Turning it off is also easier. With other makes you have to wait for it to cool down then carefully drain it, the Karcher you just empty immediately in to the sink.So, this is a very convenient steamer. I find I am much more likely to use this for smaller jobs where I just couldn't be bothered waiting for a traditional steamer. Having said that, it's not really suitable for the heaviest of jobs, where you need that extra pressure. I would be a little dubious about wallpaper removal with this one! For household cleaning, this is a no-brainer. For DIY where you might need the extra pressure, I would consider a traditional steamer.Very highly recommended.

Bought after seeing it recommended by a well-known consumer site.Easy to set up, the parts clip.together easily.Sturdy, but lightweight at same time.Once tank is filled, it really is ready to go after around 40 seconds.It's cleaning power is phenomenal, and it's so easy to move around as you clean.It left my kitchen floor absolutely gleaming with minimal effort.I've also used it to clean my oven, with equally impressive results.It comes complete with a range of accessories, and the cleaning pads can be machine washed.Highly recommend this product
