I have used this for everything from standard soldering to micro-trace repairs up to large chip BGA rework with both lead-free and leaded alloys previous under the Amtech brand and now as STIRRI. It is a fantastic product and at a great price.

Finally a quality brand readily available to everyone without the confusion of clones/low quality flux that technicians have become so used to with online flux purchases.This is a very high quality product very worthy of a 5-star rating. Ultimately I gravitate more towards the V3 formula which I subjectively found to last a tiny bit longer when exposed to heat. The differences for me as a hobbyist are very minimal though and I struggle to find any product from Stirri that can't get the job done.

This stuff works wonders! I immediately saw my work improve with it, The solder flowed seamlessly onto the correct joints unlike what happens with cheap low quality flux as long as the price doesn't change too much I will definitely be using this as my main flux guaranteed! Sticks nicely to components but also very easy to clean up leaving no residue Just use a soft q-tip with 91% IPA and it's completely gone! Very great product!

ASM has been a consistent option for me over the years with its balanced, high-performance formula. They recently put it on sale, likely to compete with Chinese products. STIRRI, based in California, should follow regulations and offers US-based support along with various formulas. The small amber syringe has a 2-year warranty and is priced lower than a cup of coffee, lasting much longer. A good, affordable, and safe SMD flux as simple as that.

Not sure why all the rave reviews!! I just went back to my regular flux instead. This def didnt do what it showed it did in the video cuz thats EXACTLY what I needed it for, and I wrecked the phone I was TRYING to repair cuz the flux just wouldn’t do what it was shown it was capable of doing. And for the price, big let down.def wouldn’t recommend this and I def wouldn’t and haven’t purchased it again or anythinf like it.

I've been using the V3 for almost a year, wanted to try something different. This ASM burns cleaner than the V3 and also cleans up easier but doesn't smell yummy like the V3. :) People don't know the history, but the proof of pedigree is in the product. Amtech Manufacturing LLC = STIRRI = the best.

Stirri ASM is an excellent all around flux for most soldering situations you will encounter. It works well with hot air as well as traditional solder irons. It's low odor and cleans nicely, Highly recommended along with more of their specialty fluxes.
