Everything under the sun!!
I read about this book on the Pink Floyd subreddit so pre-ordered, and it arrived yesterday. It does not disappoint! The song write-ups go into so much depth, they are excellent. The bootleg guide is superb and so interesting, I don't know why no-one has done that before! And the live chronology with current affairs and musical events next to them really gives a sense of what the world was like at each moment. This is a grown-up, serious book that finally gives a proper summary of what Pink Floyd were about. Five stars.

Excellent analysis of Pink Floyd songs from beginning to end
I've only just started browsing this book and already found it very interesting and fascinating. The only problem I've found so far is on page 141 in the analysis of the song Dogs, where the author says that Close to the Edge is by Jethro Tull! Any good progressive music fan knows that Close to the Edge was by Yes.

Floyd- Start to finish
Brilliant book about "Pink Floyd", lists every gig, song, you name it,............in essence what more do you want.

A hypermarket of information
This book is like shopping in a hypermarket. Everything about Floyd contained in one book, you don’t have to shop anywhere else. Cormack has certainly done some thorough research into this tome with spectacular results. From gigs, instruments, interviews, interesting and informative footnotes delivered with sarcasm and wit, plus a bootleg section. This book has it all. A must for Floyd fans.

Best Floyd book yet!
This is a great book, written by someone that is clearly a Pink Floyd uber-fan.He analysed every song, lists every concert and rates every bootleg out there. Some of his takes are a bit harsh- I like The Endless River whereas he doesn’t- but you don’t mind as he is always bringing up facts and anecdotes and opinions.I’ve read plenty of books on the Floyd, but this is the best one yet.

Fantastic
Dusted off some records I haven't listened to in donkeys. Hands down to this author. Completely deserves five stars.

Error strewn entry level overview of the Floyd
This is not a good read for the seasoned Floyd fan. It is poorly written and contains some terrible proofing errors that should have been rectified with a half decent read through. Plenty of other books that inform and entertain more than this. A shame.

Error strewn and difficult to read
Despite claiming to be the 'complete guide' to Pink Floyd, this book is unfortunately riddled with silly errors- both typographical and factual- and amounts to little more than the author's opinions on every song the band released; he hasn't even bothered to break these up into albums, so THINGS LEFT UNSAID comes straight after HIGH HOPES, for example. Each song title is in bold and capitalised EVERY time it appears, which breaks up the flow of reading especially when multiple songs are referenced in one paragraph, and almost every page has often quite extensive footnotes- the key symbols for which also constantly break up your flow of reading.I can't comment on the bootleg or live gig guides- handy I suppose if they are correct...but are they? The rest of the book certainly leads me to question them. Some random interviews pad out the book- including one with a seemingly reticent and unengaged Guy Pratt and another with the guitarist for the Aussie tribute band; just, why?!All in all, not complete, not essential, and just a badly formatted mess.
