Kind of a strange companion “fermenter”. In absence of the traditional bubble airlock, it has a carbon air filter? Bubbling has been good enough for millennia.Also, the lid doesn’t fit tightly, and the spigot isn’t high enough to avoid the carbon sediment produced by its own suggested process.I really don’t know why the lid doesn’t screw on. While nicer to work with an open top vs the thin neck of a glass carbouy, I kept finding the lid to have been blown off by the gas pressure of the ferment.For $80, I’d look elsewhere for a fermenter, although I’m glad for the carbon filtration drip system.
