Loved this kit! Was the perfect sewing intro for our 6 year old. Kept him busy for hours! Worth every penny! Loved the different pieces to sew in every project, the thread changes mid project, and the fact that it came with every tool needed to complete the project. Will be buying more!

These are cute and my granddaughter loves the finished product. Be aware that these are not for beginning sewers. My 5 yr old enjoyed the sticker part, adding the accessories to the finished project but she was unable to actually stitch the animals. I realize that every child masters these techniques at different ages. I mention only as an example. Myself, I was sewing at 5 yrs, and her mother was, too. She is not there, yet. 😊

I bought this kit for a craft project to do with my grandchildren. Those participating were ages 6-11 years old, 4 girls and 1 boy. My goal was to entertain while also teaching them a basic sewing stitch. It did require my help to get started and guidance to complete, but not more than I expected. We ALL enjoyed this craft and they have asked to make more.The kit came with everything needed to complete the project. The instruction booklet is easy to understand.Because I was working with several children, I copied and printed the instructions for each character.My photo shows two completed by a 6 year old.When you consider that you get eight characters to make, this is a good value. We will be buying another set!

I bought this kit so my granddaughter and I could stitch together. The box holds all the contents well. Each animal is packaged in its own cellophane bag, so you don't have to search through pieces to get what you need. There are plenty of needles. The thread looks just like DMC, but it's not. There are numbers on the paper tubes that keep the thread neat, but I don't know if they would match DMC. The directions are outstanding. The only thing I could not find was how many threads to use. However, the holes are pretty large so just cutting pieces off the skein works. All-in-all it's a really nice kit and great for someone who wants to build muscle memory of simple stitches. Running stitches are hard to keep the same size, so the holes in the firm felt pieces help to get the "feel" for them--and them being done evenly. I'm super happy with my purchase!

Bought this for my granddaughter. She is 12 and totally loved this kit! I would recommend it to any young crafters.

We got this to have some crafting activities available for our 9-year-old niece. She gravitates to its cute characters and enjoys having multiple pieces to work on. For beginners, I'd recommend starting with the smaller items first, as these kits require hand-eye coordination and dexterity to line up the pieces and sew them correctly. Having an adult on hand is helpful for the child and reduces frustration, while also creating an opportunity for quality time. The kit has everything you need and gives the child a sense of pride in making something by hand.

I got this set for my 9yo daughter for Christmas, she absolutely loved it and it was probably her favorite gift. She loves animals and critters and this set provided hours of fun and learning, with 8 new little stuffed animal pets at the end. She had so much fun making these! She did have a little trouble opening the sticky felt accent pieces that go on each critter, they are a little difficult to separate (she doesn't have nails) so I helped her get the back of them off, but no big deal. Would definitely purchase again and recommend as an interactive gift for a child.
