Ram Mount RAP-B-200-12U

I don't like to write reviews too soon after purchasing. I've had this on my motorcycle now for a few weeks and it's solid as a rock. The ability to rotate it at its centre before tightening it up made easy to position my phone at the perfect angle. I've ridden at motorway speed without any hint of movement. The only this I'll say is that I have a fairly large screen at the front of the bike so can't comment on how it would perform on a naked or cruiser without a screen. Definitely a great product though.

The ability to twist in the middle gives far more flexibility to mount your X-grip/Quad lock mount in more positions, which allowed me to achieve the perfect placement of mine from motorcycle mirror stem ball mount to nicely tucked in behind the windscreen. A simple and very effective solution to the problem that most mounts have where you can only move the mount through the same plane as at the other end. Amazing that more mounting arms don't do this really. Grips to ball mounts extremely well and is exceptionally sturdy. Recommended.

The adapter is well made and the length that I needed rather than the shorter one which I had.I was disappointed that the centre join is hexagonal so not as versatile as I had hoped as it doesn’t allow positioning exactly where needed.

Excellent piece of kit . Gives you many options and angles to attach your sat nav / phone.

As usual Ram have got it right, they have used a composite material this time which makes the mount lighter. This is a very useful addition to their very extensive range.

OK what do I like about this product, it's very well made, the design has been thought out and allows attachments to move in all directions. the coating stops rust. the handles can take a lot of tightening without breaking. What don't I like, the ball RAM mounts that are used with this are coated in rubber, the issue I have with that is that it won't tighten to an absolute rigid state because the rubber will always give somewhat, so when I attached the ball mounts to this product and then attach the selfie stick with a GoPro Max camera, the rubber 'give' is amplified and causes it all to bounce like a fishing rod with a whale on the end, I am using this attached to the front of a motorcycle, the motorcycle moves up and down the rubber ball mounts move up and down, all in all I get sea sick watching the playback!!. make the joints rigid please.

as all ram mount stuff i have used does what it should very well , and puts up with the rigours of being knocked about on a tractor

once mounted and the position locked down, it is so solid that you can use one finger!! You dont have to steady the phone body with your hand to work it, which is much better than most products like this which are a little wobbly. this is really really solid. the part i bought (Composite Double Socket Swivel Arm) is an upgrade component that allows for micro adjustment of exact phone position. i use mine in my car and it is like an airplane cockpit device - perfectly positioned in eyeline and rock solid for one finger operation! Every thing RAM makes is the very best, and this $20 upgrade component is worth it. i will never buy any other brand in this category now that i have RAM experience. Well worth the money.

Perfetto per la mia applicazione su Harley , seppur in plastica regge bene per ora , il tempo e le vibrazioni confermeranno o meno la sua bontà costruttiva . È comodissimo però per posizionare perfettamente il Tom Tom.
