Great option for PS5
Ive been using this thing for a long time already, and really donāt have anything bad to say about it. While the PS5 (original for me) canāt play games from this directly, itās still a very good option for storage. At 2 TB it holds a lot of games. It does take some time to initially move them into the drive, especially if youāre moving several things at once, but it still ends up being worth it in my opinion, as most games copy in less than 10 minutes versus potentially taking several hours to download. Itās also good to know that once youāre done with a game, you donāt have to move it again as the copy of it is already stored on the drive, so you can just delete it and be done, and copy it again if you feel like revisiting it.As a bonus, the drive not only can also store PS4 games, but the console can play those games directly from the drive, and has done so flawlessly. That makes this a great option for managing your console storage and maximizing the amount of games you can play at any given time.

3 Years Later
I bought this hard drive in Feb of 2022 and it is now May 2025. I would have liked it to last longer than 3 years but it has also traveled a lot. I have had no issue with it; the main computer it plugs into is a Macbook Pro but it has also been plugged into Window PCs on an infrequent basis.PROsSpeed of Transfer: FastSize: 5TB, I only got up to using 1/4 of the data space availableEase of Use: Easy! You plug it in and it does it's job (š)Design: Smaller than my phone, comes with a carrying case that is padded inside and the outside; this case is still in great shape after 3 years.CONsThe cord it came with is USB A to Micro Speed USB B. Which has been great for years until Mac has gone to using just USB C. If you are buying this now, 2025, I suggest you also buy a USB C to Micro Speed USB B cord.I am going to buy this portable drive again, no second thoughts š

Yazbut....
This is an amazing device at an amazing price. 22 Terabytes! You plug in the provided power adapter and connect the USB cable (also provided) and you're ready to go! Only one quibble. Amazon, for some reason, ships the drive in the original manufacturer's (Seagate) "naked" box, showing the drive in all its glory. The picture on the box just screams, "This is a potentially expensive piece of computer equipment, please steal me!" First time we ordered, it was delivered - with the box empty. The shrink wrap (and the drive) had been removed. Amazon was great at replacing it next day delivery, but this could have been avoided had it been packed in an Amazon box! So, caveat emptor.

Decent, but not Mac compatible out of the box
This gets the job done for sure. It's a bit slow to write files to, but I've been spoiled by SSDs for years now. Suits my needs to store shows and movies for my Plex server at a good price.Just be warned that this HDD is formatted in NTFS format. Meaning, a Mac can only read from it, and cannot write to it or reformat it natively. Luckily I had a Windows laptop lying around, so I reformatted it to exFAT on that, plugged it back into my Mac, and reformatted again to HFS+. Just an annoying hurdle to be aware of.

8TB on the go is a wonderous thing
It is a HUGE flash drive! Just kidding. It a bit slow compared to an internal drive and maybe to other USB drives but this is the first one of its kind I have had so I have nothing to compare it to. Up to now I have had a certain amount of disdain for large USB drives but this one has cured this attitude problem. And I also have to observe that I have only had it for a week or two so all my positivity may be premature: we will just have to wait and see. I any case it is great to be able to eject an 8TB drive and plug it into another rig. Anyway, I am loving it.

Great Product
i always get nervous buying third party PlayStation products because sometimes they can be janky, but iāve needed a new extended storage for some time now so i bit the bullet and bought this one and iām pleased. no issues hooking it up, it instantly let me move games over and also download games directly to the storage. you get 1TB of storage which is great for the price tag, and it holds a good 60 or so games easily (depending on the size of the games you have downloaded). the only downside actually is a PlayStations issue, its the fact you canāt put Ps5 games on the storage, it allows Ps4 games only to be transferred on or downloaded on. overall i do recommend this product, and if you donāt want to drop loads of money on the same amount of storage i recommend this one.
