I am in the process of building a new chicken Coop and a new pigeon house for homing pigeons.I was looking on the internet for new ideas when I came across this Automatic Chicken Coop door.I read how it works and thought it’s just what I need, it would save me getting up very early in the morning just to open the door and let the chickens out and at bed time I won’t need to be clocked on locking them up for the night, perfect. So I ordered one and it looks far better than I expected and the fact that it has a solar power unit to keep the batteries charged up is a massive bonus, and during winter time I can charge it up with USB chargers. Another bonus is the door can be set to automatically open at dawn and close at dusk or with a set timer, so i can set it to open at 6am and close at 6pm or what ever time I feel suitable and the quality of the door is very good, no flimsy parts just a good quality solid unit. Oh and I forgot to mention it also has a remote control to make the door open and close, what more can you ask, I think the only thing it can’t do is feed the hens!!!!But to top it all i can also use this to allow my pigeons to fly in and out of their coop, as and when I choose. Because they are homing pigeons they are free to fly as they wish throughout the day but obviously I am tied each day to make sure at dusk they are settled in for the night so now I can install this door into my pigeon housing so that it will automatically open at dawn and close at dusk when I know they will all be settled for the night as pigeons dont fly in the dark as they have poor eyesight.So my next job is to order another one so when I get started on my project I have all I need.All in all one of the best ideas I’ve come across and for the money, it’s worth every penny.And just in case someone was wondering what if one of my birds was still outside when the door starts to close I have a camera set on the old pigeon house, soon to be renewed, and I will put one on the chicken coop so if by any remote possibility that one should be left out my camera will alert me. I just can’t go wrongI would recommend this door to anyone with either a chicken coop or even a pigeon loft, obviously this door doesn’t mention the use of a pigeon loft and I will not take any responsibility for that use but I will definitely put one on mine.5* product as far as I am concerned.

Ive tried very hard to get this device to work for last six months with electrician even trying. I set the time to open and shut but it would open in the middle of the night and remain closed early morning randomly. On one occasion trapping the chickens in the coop for 2 days whilst we were away. First time and the very last time. The chickens were over heating and distressed. The electrician conformed the times were definitely correct. But this thing seemed to please itself. Needless to say the equipment has been disposed of. At a loss of 95 pounds. Buyer beware!!!!

The only fault I have with this is that it doesn’t open in icy conditions. Other than that it works perfectly

Less than nine months old and door no longer works , won’t power up regardless of it being full charged . Unable to return or obtain replacement and no option to contact manufacturer directly as suggested by Amazon . Would not recommend .

Worked for a few months, cold snap of weather and it’s killed the battery so now it’s stopped working.Waste of money!

Worst product ever, it stopped opening after two weeks. It will open manually but not via any other mode which defeats its purpose. Find another product
