My 16 month old loves animals. He is learning to recognize images of animals, say their names, and make animal noises. Having these realistic tangible animal toys to match the photos in his books has helped progress his association with image, name, and noise. I noticed that once he gets an animal toy that he can hold, he starts to say the name of the animal, not just the sound it makes.He still puts the toys (tails or legs) in his mouth and gnaws on them. These toys are so sturdy and made with good quality materials that I'm not concerned about him breaking off parts and choking on them. With that said, I am still cautious and do not let him play with these toys unattended. The smallest animal that we've gotten him is the arctic fox.

Got this as a cake topper for my kiddos 1st birthday about a year ago (yeah I don’t review any products until I’ve had them for about a year sometimes longer lol-have to make sure it’s quality) but it worked fantastically and my lil guy loved it, he’s had it since then, played with it, probably rough housed it too annnddd it’s still in fantastic condition👌🏼Since then I’ve bought More Schleich toys for my lil guy and they’ve gone through the same play annndd they’re also in fantastic condition. Would I buy more?? Ooooooh yeah! Schleich your going to be getting more monies from meh lol💖

I gave this to my granddaughter who loves foxes. It’s small, but she sets it on her shelf. I would send a picture, but it’s at her house. She loves it. The faces on these animals are adorable. I will keep buying them until she tells me to stop. They are not too small to play with, which she does. Then nicely puts them back on her shelf. They will never break. Great quality. My partner loves all things foxes, particularly arctic foxes, but they can be a challenge to find. The details are wonderful and so realistic. This was smaller than I imagined though that's on my mind, not a failure of the description. It arrived in time to give as a gift, but it took longer than I was told when I ordered it, so keep that in mind if you want to get it.

A bit smaller than I was expecting, but the usual high quality of Schleich. My daughter used it for a diorama project on the arctic fox and its habitat.

They are a little more expensive but worth the price bc of the details and durability.
