Amazing!
Where was this 40 years ago! Wonderful idea. This product dissolves quickly. A little difficult in the beginning but once you work with it you get the hang of it. You do need good lighting. Would be great if other grid counts were available. Much easier than pulling threads with a larger pattern.

Exactly what I wanted
I needed a way to cross stitch on normal fabric and I didn't want to use waste cloth as the fabric I was using had some stretch to it and I was scared of it warping. This worked great and my project (a stardew chicken on a beanie) turned out perfect

Missing sheets!
There’s only 3 sheets!?!? Total mislead when it states clearly there’s supposed to be 14! Where’s my other sheets!?! 🤬

Works perfectly
The product was easy to use and dissolved in seconds! Very excited for the projects I can now make with this.

Can be difficult to see...
This product worked exactly as expected. It washed away completely after the stitching was done.It was a little difficult to see the holes unless a light was shining at an angle to reflect off the plastic.I've only used it for one project so far, but I think it is overall easier to use than waste canvas.

It works!
I used this to embroider 2 pair of 1700s ladies pockets. I was able to trace the design onto the material and then use that to embroider my pockets!! And after that instead of having to pull all the threads like with waste canvas, I washed the pockets and the material did disappear!

it works very well
new to me product tested for a guild program it will be of good use for counted thread cross stitch on fabrics that can't be counted, like knits. a major advantage that it can be removed by dissolving in water!! The previous waste canvas had to be tediously cut and drawn out, which sometimes didn't work!!!

Absolutely astonishingly effective grid material for FRONT of project applications!
This stuff is absolutely AMAZING! If I could give it six stars, I would. For some years, I have searched for a counted cross stitch grid material that could be used on delicate knit fabrics; waste fabric, by its very nature, must be removed by pulling threads out of the grid pattern. Grids or material attached to the BACK side of a project, were truly inconvenient, as that requires constant flipping back and forth for every single stitch in a project, which gets truly tiresome very rapidly. I used this stuff for two separate projects, adding designs to collars, shirt sleeves, and the chest area of some featherweight technical knit fabric sport shirts. It basted in place without shape deformation, held the fabric in the proper shape when placed inside embroidery hoops, did not rip when I had to move the hoop across different parts of the design, and when I finished the stitching and followed the directions how to remove the excess material with warm water and a little dish soap, the material dissolved in less than 30 seconds! Amazingly, while I was stitching the projects during a hot, sweaty, sticky Georgia summer, not once did the grid material soften, stretch, or start to dissolve....which has happened to me with other kinds of poly vinyl alcohol dissolvable materials. I purchased a few extra packets , to keep on hand for future projects, and am storing them in a Ziplock bag, just in case.
