ANOTHER AWESOME BUCK KNIFE! MADE IN USA
Greetings Yall!I am a big fan of buck knifes and this knife might be my favorite now. I have an alpha hunter folder, but I wanted a fixed blade for skinning a quartering feral hogs. The finish on this this blade is amazing, when I showed it to my wife (whom has not interest in knives or hunting) she said "let me see that, it looks fake! It looks too shiny and perfect!". She was right, the knife looks just as good if not better than the pictures. It comes with a really nice sheath that has a plastic blade guard inside to prevent the knife from cutting through when holstering. The pomel is a shiny brass that feels really sturdy and adds weight and balance to this tool. Upon further inspection, this blade arrives laser sharp, I mean really sharp, way to go buck knives! The grip on this knife is a non slip tiny checkered soft rubber that feels very comfortable. The gut hook on the rear of the blade is the feature that I needed most and is the reason why I purchase these types of blades. If you are a hunter and plan on skinning your own game, this is what you need - period. The gut hook, or "zipper" as some call it really creates a flawless cut as long as you insert just past the the hide and pull downward. To do this with a normal knife without a gut hook it would take you a much longer time and would never be as a clean of a cut. My friends and hunting buddies were always impressed when I used that feature and they have always stated "I gotta get me one of those!".Great Job Buck! MADE IN THE USA!J from South Texas****UPDATE 11/01/2012Went on a hog hunt and this knife performed very well. After the skining and total field dressing the hog to "cooler size" the knife never had to be sharpened. It stayed razor sharp the entire time and I could not ask for a better tool.UPDATE 04/12/2013Knife still razor sharp and I still field dress and quarter up a hog with this knife with no stopping to sharpen this knife. Amazing.

Great knife. Only one draw back
Excellent hunting knife. I'm a deer hunter in the swamps of Louisiana. This knife skinned and butchered three deer this passed season. I could not be more pleased. The size is perfect and the gut hook is a huge plus. After three deer, the blade is still as sharp as day one.The only thing that I do not like about the knife is the belt hook on the sheath. After only one hunting season, it's showing wear that makes it look years older. The leather is very thin and weak. I fear it breaking and me loosing my knife. This rest of the sheath is built very well. It seems very strange to put thin, weak piece of leather on such an important place

Best knife I have ever bought
I don't normally write reviews unless the product is horrible and I want to warn people or its a great product and I want to recommend this product to whom ever looks at it. I received the product in 3 days where it normally takes over a week. When i pulled the knife out of the box I was impressed immediately, I read on a lot of reviews that sheath was horrible, but the one I received had a hard plastic core to help the durability and seems very tough. the only thing I do not like is that it is a slightly awkward design but easy to get used to. The knife itself is incredible, I was able to slice the box it came in with no problem at all and it could keep going for awhile. For the price it is a great knife and I do not believe in paying more than $40 for a knife. I would have honestly paid full retail price for it. This is a great knife and for anyone looking for a hunting knife or just an everyday carry knife and your looking at this knife, look no further and add it to the cart.

Good knife
Perfect knife to have on the belt in the field stays sharp holds a good edge and can’t beat the gut hook option when it’s time to harvest. I will say I do like mine.

didn't rust
I bought this knife expecting very little from it. It has preformed excellent! I have used knifes from very reputable makers and this has preformed excellent for the money. Feels great, easy to sharpen, and was been lost for two weeks in Missouri. It was not clean when I lost it and is very humid here. We have gotten lots of rain in the last two weeks and when I found it, it and was fine. No rust, and cleaned up easliy. Hope this helps.

Perfect for hunting and skinning
Bought this for my boyfriend for hunting season. His old Buck knife from his grandpa wasn't holding an edge anymore. He loves this. The rubber grip gives you the extra grip you need if the knife gets moist (as they do sometimes when your hunting...). He liked the look of the wooden handle from his old knife better, but looks and functionality are different and he is completely happy with his choice. This knife came perfectly sharp out of the box and after a few uses is still like new. He will likely sharpen at the end of deer season, but thats out of habit. Fully recommend this knife

Great knife
This is a great knife for hunting. I have used this knife a few times in the woods for field dressing deer and it does not disappoint. I didn’t have to sharpen it, it came extremely sharp right out of the box. I have only used buck when it comes to hunting, dressing, and butchering game. They make a great product and I will continue to use their blades. You can’t go wrong with them, they have near perfected their product seeing as how they have been around since world war 2.
