Great for Securing Catio Screens – Sturdy and Easy to Use
We used these Straight Groove Wooden Dowels for securing the screens on our catio, and they worked really well. They are sturdy, uniform in size, and fit snugly, making them perfect for reinforcing the structure.The quality of the wood is solid, with no splintering or rough edges, which made installation smooth. Would have preferred they were sent in individual bags by size instead of one big jumble, but otherwise, they work fine and are priced well. Using them for building furniture. No issues.

Excellent quality dowel pegs!
I had several doors in my house that were scraping the frame when the doors were closed. The screws were stripped inside the hinges and even a 3 1/2" screw had nothing to bite into.I decided that the only way to left the door tight against the top hinge was to drill out a 5/8th inch hole in each of the hinge screw holes and hammer 5/8th inch dowel pegs in each drilled hole. I used wood glue before inserting the dowels into the holes. Be sure you drill deep enough so you don't have to chisel any of the dowel pegs. Allow the glue to set for 24 hours before replacing the screws. Recommend using a nail or punch to start a hole in the center of each of the dowels. That way the screws will line up with the center of the hinge and be flush with the hinge when screwed in completely.It worked like a charm on all of my leaning doors. None of the doors scrap the frames when they are opened or closed!I highly recommend these dowels. Will definitely buy again. Shipping was fast and packaging is top drawer!
