Great for kids
I do t use this personally. I bought it because guitar straps for small kids are almost nonexistent and the ones out there have zero padding. My 5 year old loves this. he could play for hours now. Without the pad he could only last 30-45 minutes before the strap starts bothering him

Very comfortable
Made a big difference with my strap. Had the buckle poking me and is so much more comfortable now.

Useful for Pacemaker Wearers
I'd like to suggest these for pacemaker wearers. My pacemaker is located on my upper left chest near my shoulder, just about where a guitar strap passes over the shoulder. The foam–filled pads keep the strap about an inch up pff of the pacemaker so that the strap never touches it. These are also useful for providing additional padding for backpack straps.

Significantly Extends Playtime
Due to an old neck injury, I’ll be hurting for days or weeks if I use a bad strap on my bass for more than 20-30 minutes. I’ve tried a few other pads, and they help, but this one is the best I’ve tried so far. With this pad, I can get through a 3-4 hour show (with breaks) and still be able to turn my head the next day.It only covers a small portion of the strap design, too, so it doesn’t make itself too obvious. It’s black, so it goes with almost everything, and it only has a tiny little logo tag that could easily be cut off.My only complaint is that it tends to slip. I used some reverse-rolled duct tape between the strap and pad to keep it in place, but ideally it would be made of a more grippy material where it touches the strap so the tape wouldn’t be necessary. Aside from that, it does what I need it to do at a price I can afford - I even bought a second one for my backup bass.

Great way to make a cheap strap comfortable
I wanted to buy a more expensive strap for my son. We were not sure what size so we bought an inexpensive nylon strap. Adding this item saved us half of the money the other setup would have cost. this is the way to go. It fits the strap snug and stays in place. Highly recommend.

Fool proof back relief
I use Earnie ball straps. Nice quality, thick. I had to pull one end of the strap up and one through the bottom, so that the piece adjusting length never passed through and sits in its resting space. It’s great. Weight if distributed better and the pad is comfortable. Best, it’s cheaper than the imitation! They have a more expensive one, that has Velcro and is easy to swap. This one was sewed in, meant to be paired with a guitar, straps, strap locks.

Disappointed
I don't know if it's because I'm really short, but this actually makes my shoulder hurt faster and even more than when I don't use it with my leather strap. I find it very stiff and uncomfortable.

Didn't work for me
I bought this to use with the strap of my bass guitar. It fit the strap well enough and was easy to install. The first issue was that I didn't find the bubble padding to be very comfortable. Instead of acting like a cushion, it felt too firm for my liking. The bigger problem was how easily the strap slips through the pad. This makes any instrument with "head dive" a worse issue to deal with. Had to return the product.
