well made solid
Easy enough to fit, heavy cables not so easy to work with. Difficult to get the replacement screws in, after a few swear words, done looks good.

Excellent option for getting more sockets
What i like about this plug socket is that its an option that actually works and looks great on the wall. The socket itself is very easy to install and by following the instructions i had it connected and screwed to the baseplate in 10 mins. I love the fact that i can now have my plugs sitting side by side and not either an extension lead or an extension plug. It’s always been a bug bear of my to see an overflowing plug extender literally hanging out of the socket because of the weight of 3 plugs and god forbid i try to add a 4th. As some plus come in a fixed moulded plug your not always able to use more than 2 points on it anyway. But with this socket you don’t have any of those issues. I went from one socket to four. Best decision i made

Works well, not 100% ready to use
I bought 5 but one was received with a hole missing in the plastic back plate - something that's easily fixed though. They fit well in the current 2-gang hole and the individual switches are useful. They look as good as the original sockets, though stick further out the wall. A quick and simple way to expand sockets without using extension leads or getting an electrician in.

Good socket converter
Needed to convert a single socket to 4 and this fitted the bill very easy to install and does the job. The switches on this are bigger that another brand I have used so easier to use. Reused existing screws to hold it in place as the box was sunk well into the wall but they worked fine.

better than a plug in extension
Had an extension lead that looked a bit messy with all plugs. Installed this 4 way socket. Was easy to install works fine , no issue .

Faulty unit caused short circuit
I bought this to convert a single socket to a four gang. As I am fairly practical I fitted it myself but due to a protruding wall back box was unable to get it flush with the wall so called an electrician to modify the back box and complete the installation. He installed the unit and switched the power back on only for the 30 amp ring main fuse to blow. He replaced the fuse, carefully checked everything (I watched) and put the power back on. There was a bang and a flash in the socket. On checking it was apparent that there was an internal short circuit between the securing bolt and live; a potentially dangerous situation. He went off and bought a decent unit and successfully installed it; two call-out charges plus 2 fuses at a fiver each! Not much consolation that I got a refund under the returns policy which no doubt doesn’t cover consequential loss.If you want to chance it, be aware that if converting a single you need additional strength fixing other than the two wall back-box bolts. The instructions talk about making an indentation on the wall to accommodate the “shaded area” on the socket. Absolute rubbish because no part of the fixture is proud of the unit so how would it fit into a wall indentation? You need to use the third, unused, back-box bolt hole and put a screw through to a wall plug which is what I was going to do and the electrician did. You should do this irrespective of which make you buy.
