Easily put together. Very solid structure.

I bought this because it the description says, “ Lifting the lid of the parcel box raises the hinged platform. Simply place the parcel on the platform and close the lid. The parcel will drop to the secure space at the base of the parcel drop box and remain irretrievable.” What came is just a box. There is no side door or hinged platform. Anyone can open it and steal the packages. Unfortunately, my son-in-law had it half assembled before I asked him where the platform and door were. So, it’s too late for us to return it. It’s nice wood and sturdy, but it is not a security box.

When put together a really good solid product we put together ,testing our abilities, and relationship ,as no putting together instructions ha all ok , some of wood pieces were slightly split but not enough to return , we though that when assembled a really nice product thankyou

While self assembly was to be expected with this, I didn't bank on quite how much it would be and that it would in the main be a job for two people requiring one to hold things steady and the other to put in so many screws. Please don't attempt to do this without a powered screw driver because it would take you hours.The planter box also needs a further surface inside it because as delivered, the compost would simply fall through the holes in the bottom of it, I loaded mine with cardboard and gravel before adding compost and that just about works but it's not really that good especially for the price.

Really simple to put together solo. Only a screwdriver needed.Sturdy, well fitting pieces. All fittings included. Well packed and timely delivery too.Wood seems treated, no knots. Have lined it myself to add to durability. Is home to a lovely plant and will make life easier for delivery folk and myself wrestling my dog at the door

Lovely and easy to put together

I didn't buy this product from Amazon but a high street DIY site. It was an absolute mare to put together. Only a couple of the panels are pre drilled, nothing else. Some of the wood is very hard and I ended up with nasty blisters on my hand from trying to get the screws in. I ended up having to borrow a powerful drill driver from a neighbour and even that struggled and one of the base screws is sticking out and won't budge at all. The wood split in a few places as well. As for getting the lid on, again, no pre drilled holes and needs two people for one to hold the lid steady while the other outs the screws in. I would not recommend this at all unless you have a drill driver and someone to help. You will also need a 3mm drill bit as Zest state you have pre drill all the necessary holes yourself before construction. The planter area will also require lining as the base is slatted not solid. The main parcel box base is also slatted, not solid.

Hubby put it together so was in situ when I came home, however, the the lid does not fit snugly, so in his wisdom he decided to countersink the hinges - his chisel was blunt so used a stanley knife and then stabbed himself in the knee with it (still hobbling a week on) apart from the trauma involved its a snazzy addition to my front door, even had a sign put on it - how posh am I.......
