Real deal amp sims.
If you have a small board for your guitar this is an obvious add to change your sound in a box. I plugged in and played Highway to Hell. It sounded like a legit amplifier. You can really dial a tone in. You can make it sound like anything you play. Ability to add IRs by computer, an Effects loop(!), EQ, Reverb, 11 heads, bunches of cabinets, placement and types of speakers and mikes...It just goes on. This is a real backup when your amp fails. Insurance, your show doesn't end with a thud. Great add and simplified my board. I can't ask for more.

Don’t miss out on great sound for another minute. Get this NOW!
I usually plugged my guitars (electric & acoustic) directly into my recording console. Often through effect pedals first. But, man! I had no idea what I was missing in clarity and tone until I put this thing in the front of my pedals. I missed out on great sound for SO long. This thing is awesome. Whether you’re looking for clean tones or heavy metal, this pedal has got you covered. Simple to use. You don’t get bogged down in menus like with one of those everything-in-one-box multi-effects units. I find those incredibly difficult to use, complicated and frustrating. This thing just works great right out of the box. Plug it in, turn a few knobs and you’re good to go. I’d rather spend my time playing and singing than fiddling with menus. You won’t be disappointed with this easy to use pedal. I personally love it and didn’t realize what I was missing.

Glorious purpose
The positives so outweigh the negatives to perfection..Con- ambience needs to be maxed ..and then, still meh..however keep in mind this made to have fx built around it via your pedal board..I would also say headphone volume..but it's perfect when dimedPro- let's face it...boss is the goat ..there is a flavor for every player on here...also handles dirt pedals well..letting you mold the perfect distortion through stacking..also it's tweed clean is done so well with pedals there's no excuse to not get quiet recording ..the tube simulation is fine..you won't notice in a mix..easy to use fx loop is great..practical for home noiseless writing when kids are asleep..also excells at noiseless recording via plugging into an interface..it is not multi effect..so you will need to provide pedals for modulation ,reverb, delay ect..but if your looking for a speaker less alternative to a katana or a Hughes and kettner tubemeister ..this is it .. side note..the tubemeister comes with fx ...but they are just ok..and for its price point you could buy this pedal and a stack of dx pedals.

Simplifies and Diversifies My Rig
Got this specifically so I could have something versatile and portable for jamming and practicing. The different amp voicings out of the box sound great. I was especially looking forward to the Mesa/rectifier & it did not disappoint. Haven't even touched the USB capabilities yet. Love that I can use headphones out for practicing too. Highly recommend!

Great Pedal to have
Great Pedal, sounds close to the original amps it carries , the best part is that you have control like a real amp to create your sound of preference.

Good not great
I purchased this pedal to be used as a backup rig instead of having to carry another tube head at small shows. I don't like menus and much prefer simple basic pedals with knobs. This fits the bill perfectly. I set one side for clean and the other side for dirty. I have a Small Cobalt brand zip toolbag that I keep this pedal, a direct box, a One Spot and a few patch cables in. I recently played an outdoor festival show where generated power was used. They fed us 140 volts and my Power tubes red plated and I had a fuse blow. In about 90 seconds I had this backup rig hooked up and was back in action. This pedal was worth all of its money just that one day.The negatives: I Have not been able to use the effects loop with my pedal board. There is some sort of digital interference and it sounds awful. So I basically had nothing but this pedal through the big pa system. Not great but I got through it. Some of the Amplifier simulators just aren't usable for me. They sound much too digital and metallic. Most all of the clean channels sound like a Roland jazz chorus which is not the worst. I have also turned the impulse response off and on and can't really tell a difference when connecting it to a PA or an amplifier.

Wow
I don’t write many reviews but this pedals does some amazing things. You don’t need a bunch of amps; they’re all there. Great product
