Easy to use great for preventing leaks

I am just a person who does some DIY around the house, on occasion, to try and save some money. I'm neither great at it, and often a little reluctant. I'm especially reluctant when it comes to messing with water and pipes, with a history that has been rather chequered.But this jointing paste, whilst not the answer to all of my woes, is certainly very very good at doing what you would expect. It has certainly helped when the replacement of an o-ring or a washer etc has just not been enough, not overtightening them. Just adding a little to the joint has proven to be a very effective seal.To me what is just as important, considering how few times that I use it, is that it has remained useable the next time that I have opened to sealed tub. So many other brands have hardened, even though they are mixed as instructed each time.Overall I'm glad that I bought this, altho I dread needing to use it - not because it is not effective, more to do with the nature of meaning that I have a leak somewhere that needs to be repaired or some other job involving water.....I very much recommend this.

In my opinion the best jointing compound you can buy

Pros:The stuff itself works fine - did all the compression joints I needed and had zero leaks.Cons:The tub it comes in was leaking badly when it arrived. Everything was covered in a greasy layer that had leaked out. Clearly the tub wasn't sealed properly as when I opened it, there was a *thick* skin over the top - at first I thought it was a plastic film over the top, but no, it was a layer congealed boss white.
