Samsung 58cm Wide 4 Zone Ceramic Hob with Stainless Steel Frame

Found this on amazon very competitively priced compared to the other big online sellers (in Spring 2022) - was unsure but so happy that I bought this. I wanted basic musts like parent-lock and different sized rings. For me other features were unnecessary and made other models expensive. Touch control very responsive and so a "touch" is all that's needed. My only gripe is that to turn up to maximum heat (9) can't hit the minus key (like a back button) I have to scroll through all numbers! I've also seen some ridiculous reviews that mention cleaning is not very good. The problem here is they don't use clean cloths to start with - I use a ceramic hob cleaner, clean damp cloth to clean and a dry clean cloth to wipe dry - no issues. Yes it is a dust magnet but it shows because it's black!

Liked the fact that it was the make and model as my previous hob.

As mentioned above I was disappointed to find a metal surround which did not show on the picture from which I had ordered. It. However it looks ok and perhaps not so easy to clean as the flat to,worktop design I was expecting. Very impressed with the speed from order to delivery, just what i needed this busy time. Seems to work just fine as I would expect from Samsung.

Very happy customer, looks stylish and easy to use

I ordered the Samsung c61r1aamst electric hob around 4 pm on 2/10/13 and by 8.30am on 4/10/13 I had received it. great service I only gave it four stars, because I have not installed it yet, but it looks fantastic ,the fact that it is touch button, as against having, knobs looks like a good asset when keeping it clean, up to now it looks like a very good buy ...addition to above review before attempting to connect the wiring check that the two brass links are fitted to the connection points and not just placed out of sight in connection box . I had to phone Samsung to find out why only two rings were working there reply was ,,,,if I look carefully I should see the two brass links stuck down the side of the wiring compartment and I should undo my wiring and fit the links then it should work, why this was not done at the factory I don't know, and Samsung could not tell me either, any way its working fine now but could have done without the hassle, I don't know why it did not explain it in the hand book, there again it should have been done at the factory..... if had not been for problem with the links I would have given five stars

I was fortunate that the worktop aperture of the old hob I was replacing was exactly the same as this one and the correct width (490mm) to fit the side brackets which hold the unit in place. It is not fixed down and can be lifted, once in position, to clean under the edges. I wanted a strong metal edge as the previous boarderless one got chipped on its edge and eventually cracked right across.The instructions to connect the power supply are not entirely easy to follow for the DIY'er as there is provision for both single and two phase supplies (as required in europe I'm told). I employed a qualified electrician who was familiar with the system and had it wired in 20 mins. If the wiring had been simpler to follow I would have given 5 stars.

This is a great hob, responsive, and easy to use. However, with hindsight we should have ordered one without the chrome surround as this is potentially a food trap and could get quite gummed up around that edge. Its not the easiest to keep clean when pans simmer over and mark the glass and you do have to be careful what you clean it with. But all that said, generally pleased with our purchase.
