Neem leaf powder is generally very bitter, and this one is no exception. But it has a number of health promoting and healing properties (just look it up if you are interested), so, in my view, it's totally worth the bitter taste. Plus, I happen to be one of those people who don't mind the bitter taste at all. The more bitter the more potent, I say :).I include Neem powder in food preparations, but it can also go into smoothies. I even put a pinch of it when I bake yeast bread. A little goes a long way. The powder is VERY finely ground, so it's easy to incorporate it into anything. I haven't tried it for my skin and hair yet - the Details Page suggests it - but I might look into that as well. Product of India - where a lot of Neem trees grow.

I don't know about the taste because I'm using this for hair. It smells like neem and feels good on my hair, leaving it strong with less fall out and my temples are thicker.
