uni Mechanical Pencil Kurutoga Standard 0.7mm, Blue (M74501P.33)

I love these pencils. I have three now for different colours, used for highlighting in books. They feel lovely to use and it’s great that coloured lead rubs out perfectly.Just to be clear - this comes with black lead. We need to buy the coloured leads separately.

Works well but feels cheaper compared to uni ball's other mechanical pencils

These pencils have revolutionised my note taking. They are much easier to write clearly, neatly and consistently with. I have always preferred writing with mechanical and traditional pencils - but have always been a bit unhappy with the quality of my writing - until now.One negative - I find the glossy coloured paint coating far too slippery - so I sand it off for a more relaxed grip using fine wet and dry - totally worth it although I wish they were available in a matt finish.Love using mine every day.

Was looking for a nice, red pencil. This is great!

I have the metal version of this Kuru toga pencil in 0.5 mm and am generally a fan. Frankly I thought the 0.7 mm would be an improvement over the 0.5 mm lead for normal day to day use. As I often keep a red marker pen/pencil by my sad to-do list I expected this to be a go-to piece of stationery. Sadly the red leads don't really impress, mark poorly and break way too easily - so eventually I filled the pencil with regular 0.7 mm graphite 2B, which makes it way more useful.Bargain bit of smart engineering anyhow.Update some months on: I actually prefer this for day to day to the posher metal version. Nicer in the hand - but use it with a 2B graphite lead.

Metallic colour makes it look ugly. The old clear ones are nicer.Otherwise perfect pencil

Generally happy with it, however, the feed function failed last week, less than a month after purchase.

Does what I want, but the leads don't last very long and I can't find a way of refilling it.
