Super easy to assemble
This thing was sturdier than I thought, I was running late for a convention and assembled it in the car on the way there in less than 5 minutes and after a full day of walking around and swinging it, this thing exceeded my expectations

good purchase
didnt come with instructions. very easy to attach the handle onto the sword. it was a little difficult to put the stand together but you just have to force it in. i used images of the products to see what the stand was supposed to look like. i havent tried the belt yet but i think it is sturdy. no defects on anything. happy with my purchase

Hand guard does not stay on.
It looks nice and my son loves it, but the hand guard that loops over the handle popped off almost immediately. Without glue, it will not stay together.

Broke before convention
Scabbard broke apart incredibly easily. The product came with 4 main components; the sword itself, the hand guard, a belt, and the scabbard. All the pieces initially looked to be of a decent quality. HOWEVER, after only a couple of times where I unsheathed the sword, the top cap of the scabbard broke off. Looking at it I could tell that only a small amount of adhesive was ever applied to the product when they were building it. If you insert this sword all the way into the scabbard it'll fit snuggly inside. Like most Japanese swords, you need that initial push on the tsuba (the guard) with your thumb to dislodge the blade but this product wasn't made well enough to withstand it's own unsheathing. Removing the sword just yanked the scabbard's cap off.To add insult to injury the bottom cap of the scabbard also fell off. I honestly have no idea how this even happened. The sword doesn't even reach the bottom of the scabbard so even when it's all the way inside... nothing is poking that bottom cap. Yet somehow it was made so flimsily that even that managed to fall off too.
