I used these carabiners on my backpack and keychains on a trip to Europe. The locking mechanism worked great and added extra security and peace of mind. I gave 2 of them to my sisters so they could use it for their upcoming trips and they loved them too!

This microlock carabiner is a great little item. The microlock is surprisingly effective at keeping the latches closed. This will be great at securing light objects or keys (the biner has a maximum recommended weight of 3 lbs) to a backpack, D-ring on a coat, or belt loop. The description says this will hold 3 standard keys, but I was able to attach 4 standard house keys on the biner with no difficulty. Five keys did NOT fit so I conclude that 4 is the maximum number of keys you can easily attach without using a keyring. This item is made from stainless steel. Some other Nite Ize products are aluminum if that makes a difference to you.I've had great luck with Nite Ize products in the past. They are very well made and that translates to good durability. I expect I will have the same good luck with this carabiner as well.
