Decent practice nunchucks for beginners
I've had some training with nunchucks way back when I practiced wushu. These Marcolo practice nunchucks are not bad for something you can buy off the shelf. There is enough weight for these to get some speed but not heavy enough to seriously hurt beginners. The cord that holds the two pieces together is doubled up and sometimes gets twisted up on itself. This makes the movement a little different from the typical nunchuck chain that is connected on swivels. In any case, I can still perform the typical nunchuck motions without too much difference. You can also re-tie the cord to be a single connection.Given the price and build quality, this is a pretty solid beginners nunchuck.

Product as advertised
I was started training to use chucks the summer before my 5th birthday. I was training with local twins that were brow belts in Shorin-Ryu (A Japanese art that would fall under the category of "Karate") that were up for their black belts. They had to put a demo together and they thought having a 4 years old use a pair of chucks would look awesome in front of a crowd. They were correct. I spent that entire summer practicing these routines they were teaching me on top of training me as a white belt in Shorin-Ryu. I made it to a yellow belt with them by 6 and by 8 I was in a paid for school instead of practicing in their yard which wasn't possible in rain or winter. They also allowed me to keep my earned Yellow belt after testing me which was nice. They remind me of that first set they gave me. I asked why they didn't give me the real ones to practice with and they replied "So you don't hurt your head".That said, these look like more of a decoration than for practice. They are very light but that didn't stop me from spinning them around for an hour. I couldn't help myself. I always found the Nunchaku so much fun. They can generate up to 90Lbs per sq" so they CAN be dangerous and that is where these come in.After twirling them around striking everything I could they were no worse for wear. They are fine to practice with. I would recommend the ball bearing models that move smoother but these are just fine to begin with. You can practice your forms and whatever else strikes your fancy, like chuck combos and defensive techniques. For the price they are a good set. And due to the price would make a Halloween costume look that much more authentic.

Great Nunchucks for Beginners
These nunchucks are great for beginners who are just starting out their martial arts training. They are lightweight and a cost effective option for consumers. It is also made of a flexible sponge material which limits the amount of harm one can do another individual.

Great for practice and training
This is a great tool for teaching beginners and for practice. This is different fromnunchakus with a chain as the cord does not have the same swivel of a chain, the cord canfray and break with repeated use, and the cord is a bit smaller in length compared to thelength of a nunchaku with a chain, but these are still very good for beginners and for safepractice. Even if the cord does break on these they are designed so that you can easilyreplace the cord and also extend the length of the cord as well. A must have for every dojoand martial arts student.

fun to learn with
These are some really nice practice nunchuks. I like that the cord is set to be replaceable. Because it's a cord and not a chain, with repeated use, I can see the cord wearing and eventually breaking. However, you can tell from the construction that you will be able to replace it pretty easily. The cord is a little shorter than what a chain is. So if you need that extra length, you may want to replace the cord earlier rather than later. Having played with real nunchuks, these trainer ones don't offer quite the same flexibility and rotation and that's simply the difference between chain and cord. So if you have used regular ones, be prepared for a small difference. For a beginner, the cord will work great.I'm excited to learn to use these properly and to help my little learn them for her taekwondo class. She is already starting with these before he gives them the real ones. Great for learning and i recommend

I Tried Kung Fu, Dropped Them, The Dog Thought It A Toy And Ripped It To Shreds
I really wanted to enjoy these nunchucks but being the uncoordinated klutz that I am, I dropped them on the first attempt, unfortunately in front of our pup who we’ve nicknamed “Mr Destructoid” and he obviously thought it was his toy so he did a snatch and run and they turned into shreds before I could catch him.Otherwise, I’m sure they’d be fun to mess around with and you wouldn’t even get hurt because they’re very lightweight foam rubber. If you don’t have a destroyer dog, get them because they’re certainly inexpensive enough.

Great for learning
These do have a nice appearance and are decently constructed. The rubbery outside is very soft, which proved helpful since bruising would have definitely occurred even with the first couple of uses. These aren't super robust and will wear down with use, but I hope to also graduate to tougher ones at the same time. They rotate and move nicely, fit well in my smaller hands, and helped to get me over my initial fears.
