My plant came small and puny...has gone in the greenhouse for a while

Replaces an expensive bush which died after heavy frost and abundant sunshine killed it.
Small but looks very attractive, in a sheltered, shady spot. Cost much less than my short lived effort and seems to like where I planted its' pot. I have great hopes for this one......

All as expected. Healthy and growing well after just a few days.

Not for the enthusiastic Acer lover
Have loved and developed Japanese gardens for thirty years, this would be our nineteenth Japanese Maple. Bought this as an experiment into internet purchasing. Arrived on time, resembled a 30cm twig with a few leaves. Repotted nurtured and began to care for in every normal way. In all of these months it has not grown an inch and it has approximately the same amount of leaves it had nine months ago. One month after this purchase we bought an acer from a local garden centre, it was small (15cm) but quite "bushy", it cost £1.50 more. The latter is now a bush, way over twice the size (50cm), it survived the winter outside and is going to be a great acer. The former, the same genus, is still a little twig with stunted growth with no expectation of growing into something you would love to see in your garden. Moral..........don't buy blind.

I am really impressed with the quality and price of the Acer tree... it came well packaged and alot larger than the description. I highly recommend.
