Well designed and constructed, lighter than expected and quite sturdy
Previously I was using a cane seat with legs that, in a folded position, splayed out awkwardly. They kept getting in the way (although the seat worked fine). What I like about this cane seat is how the legs collapse into one "leg," secured by a larger, stiff rubber cap/foot. Also, the cane is much lighter than I expected. It expands and folds quickly and easily, and is a good grip in my hand when walking. I don't know that I'll ever need the phone holder, but it's out of the way when not used so it's no problem having it in the grip. By the way, I'm 260 lbs and the cane has a 300 lb limit. So far it holds me fine, with no wobbliness, creaking or obvious strain.

This Thing Is Amazing
I am 46 and have had progressively worsening hip pain for decades now. For the last eight or so years I have been disabled by it. I need double hip replacements but need to lose some weight before surgery, so, in the meanwhile, I am in constant debilitating pain and cannot stand long at all. Obviously, this dramatically negatively affects what I can do. I have resorted to taking a stroller out places with me for support and hanging a folding chair off of the back to open and sit on whenever I have to (which is nearly constantly). But, this is large, clunky, and not comfortable. I came across the TaDa Chair looking for portable stools and I ordered it and a much less expensive portable collapsing stool to compare for comfort or usability. The TaDa won. Today I went with my family on a garden tour. This thing allowed me to go! I could walk a few steps with the walking stick for very sturdy support, yet it is lightweight. Then I could stop, open it, and sit a few minutes while people explored the area, then move along and repeat. It allowed me to be there! It is very comfortable, which is a lot for me to say as everything hurts my hips. I was worried it would not be wide enough, again I am overweight and pressure on my sit bones hurts due to the pressure it places on my hip joints to just sit. It is super comfortable. While I am still in constant pain, this is giving me back to ability to go some places I wouldn't think of being able to handle before. If you think this might help you at all I encourage you to try it. My teenage son kept trying to sneak a sit on it and even he, who is in great physical shape, found it very nice when his feet were hurting after a long tour (before the garden walk had gone on an hour and a half walking tour of a historical mansion so when he met up with me in the garden his feet were tired). So it is helpful for all ages. This one is also great as it is height adjustable so I could get the cane height just right. And the seat is at a great chair sitting angle so it does not feel like you are squatting. It is easy to get on and off of. And it is so easy to open with one hand and re-close, or if you are going just a few feet, you can leave the seat open and use it as a cane still very efficiently.

Don’t buy it for full-price, if you can avoid it. 🙅🏻
———————————————————————📝 NOTES:I just received my walking stick/cane/chair today, so I can’t yet speak to it’s long-term durability, BUT at least in *my* assessment, I don’t see how a $200 retail price can be justified. If you were to ask me what I thought this product cost, I’d guess in the range of $40 - $50, and nothing more. I’ve seen aluminum walking aids that looked & felt more rugged, so I don’t know how much of a markup has been applied to this chair cane. The seat itself is made of the same type of material used in plastic chairs found in institutions, like schools (but thinner). Definitely NOT comfortable, so I’d say that it’s not meant for anything more than a quick rest. It leans FORWARD, and at least for my preference, maybe a little too much. For this reason, it makes me want to sit further back on the seat, which isn’t much better, but at least I’m leaning less. Is this a matter of ergonomics not being compatible with just SOME people? Don’t know… 🤷🏻♀️The phone holder does work, and again, the plastic material used doesn’t feel particularly rugged, which is consistent with this entire product. You’re to use it with your phone in a vertical orientation, port side down. This chair cane is made in Taiwan, and unlike its Chinese counterparts, which many complain of coming with little to no instructions, this is accompanied by plenty of paperwork, some of it redundant, but you WILL know how to use it. And if you want to claim your warranty, should you need to down the line, fill out the card, including your proof of purchase, etc.Though far from impressed with this product, it does work as advertised, and the opening & closing of the chair is easy. The seat portion is secured in place with an embedded, rudimentary latch. If you see credible reviews of people saying that they found a similar-quality chair cane for about $40 - $60 (i.e., essentially a dupe), then confirm that they’re true and opt for that one instead. I honestly don’t think that any part of this chair’s design warrants such a premium price, as it doesn’t look or feel like a premium product. Hopefully, it’s more durable than it seems, but I suppose it’ll earn its value through frequent use, or at least in its availability when direly needed.Comes with roomy carrying duffel (Velcro top closure & shoulder strap), which will be handy for storage & portability.RATING: 4 out of 5, for seeming far overpriced for its quality
